Question for you, Proven Winners. I just planted 5 Cat's Pajamas and 2 Cat's Meows. They say they're drought tolerant, but how often should I water these NEWLY planted beauties?? Also, once they're established, then how often would you recommend? Not sure if you need my zone, but I'm in 5b/6a. Thanks!

I would love to plant Cats Pajamas Nepata, but can’t find it in any nursery in South Louisiana.

We're sorry to hear that, it is a wonderful plant that is unusual that it is in color all season, unlike other perennials. Please note this plant is only good for those in zones 3-8, so if you are in a zone 9 there in Louisiana then this plant would struggle. Thanks for watching!

It depends on where you are in Seattle, it looks like there are zone 8 areas, which this plant is zoned for, but there are also pockets of zone 9 areas, which would be too warm for this plant. Use a plant zone map to see where you are located.

There seem to be massive swarms of catmint everywhere in Seattle, looks like they do fine here, might wanna keep them in a sunny spot. @@HL-nh3kw

I've seen a video, where a person planted this one, and by the end of the season, they were all dead. Then when I read the comments, many people were saying the same thing. All dead. One person purchased 18 of these and all 18 died. So what's with Cat's Pajamas?

Well, that was not a video on our channels, and from personal experience this is one of the easiest perennials to grow. Just plant and water it well in its first year, and after that just sit back and enjoy the color. No pruning or trimming required. I think I have 10 sprinkled throughout my garden.
