Catch can install on a Triton MQ

This is a fairly straightforward installation. I have a HPD can installed. It is extremely hard to unscrew the base to empty that I have to unscrew the whole mount. Need to change to this one. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this, I’m about to get a catch can for my mq and want to do it myself. Heard it’s a piss easy job but don’t have a lot of experience. Heard about the Mann and Hummel, they’re pretty good stuff yeah?

I have a question, why wouldn't the car manufacturers engineers have a catch can installed as factory standard, they spend zillions if dollars on R & D, they must want the vapour with oil to go back into tje intake for a reason? If the oil vapour is so dangerous and damaging why do they not do something about it? Maybe this after market item is only ment for over boosted engines and high performance engines. Remember just a question?

what size of the hose connecting to the occ??

Do the instructions really have the clean outlet hose on the bottom of the can ?

I have the same ute and the same catch can does your catch can rub up against the air box, when i installed mine its a tight fit against the airbox rubs on it constantly.

does installing this piece of kit invalidate the mitsubihi warranty ?

For $350.00 bucks they give you a Crappy piece of $2.00 BCF Camping drain hose that melts on a triton. Then you have to replace the filter every 40 or 50K at $79 bucks a pop and it is quite expensive piece of gear. They should at least throw in an extra filter for the price they are charging for these things. Australians businesses are so Greedy & it makes me sick.

What does the catch can do exactly?

Hi. Can you tell me your opinion regarding the mounting bracket. Do you feel that the one bolt mount system is adequate? I see another version on the market which seems to mount up in 2 places vs the one in this case. Was wondering if vibration over time will cause filter to try & twist downwards. Any info appreciated.

They come with different bracket now very flimsy..,the top hose kinks don't bend at all. Not worth the money
