​@@26acresoutdoors Good stuff keep up the good work with your daughter! Crayfish are awesome a little known secret. Connecticut has allot of the larger species, Virile/ Northern and Big Water Robust Crayfish species. I might go to Connecticut for the opportunity to catch those large sized Crayfish, would you know if a Fishing license needed? Yes the Long Food Tongs are a great effective impliment to catch Crayfish. Be careful and consider carrying as to the Bear situation. These ones are different than the ones down south but are definitely tasty! That's a great question and I'm not 100% sure if you need a liscene or not for the crawfish lol. I keep a fishing liscene and others year round so I never looked into it for the crawfish. Thanks watching and the comment!!

Awesome! Keep me posted on how you make out. When I set the traps I have I use hotdogs or dry dog food in a nylon or bait bag so it doesn't all float to the top of the trap. Thanks for watching and the comment!

Your welcome I'm glad you liked the video! We go in parts of the Yantic River in Norwich. They aren't the same as the ones from down south they are smaller and a different kind. . They still taste good though lol. Most streams and rivers all around CT have them some just more than others! Good luck!

@@charleso8826 yes way more crawfish around CT than I thought. They just a different variety than down south but still good eating. We were in the upper part of the Yantic River.

I did some crawfish in central CT. Didnt know there would be that many. I'm thinking of building a crawfish trap.

@@7444droc there seems to be a lot around. I have a few traps but I've done way better when the water is low wading through the water with the nets. Maybe I just had my traps in the wrong spot lol.

Definitely was!! It was still hot wading through the brook 🤣
