Your channel has quickly became one of my favorites man. I recently bought a 1648 grizzly tracker and watching your videos makes me keep wanting too fish out of my 14 alumacraft lol. I’ve taken that boat out on just about every water system in East Tennessee and it’s done fine.

Yeah its still pre-spawn on the river section. There are females that have spawned already, moving from the warmer lake water to the cooler tailrace to feed. Looking at the fish can tell you so much about fish habits.

Go get em. Water temp is close on the tailrace. Once it hits the tailrace, I'll move to the creeks that feed into the lake section of Kerr and Gaston, where they should be well through the spawn. Somewhere around mid-June to early July. then Ill probably move back to the tailrace

Really enjoying your videos and your presentation. I know the fishing kayaks are extremely popular right now but for the money they cost, just for the kayak, I’m betting you could about fully rig a setup similar to yours and be good to go. Lots of small, good, used Jon boats out there.

Yeah I'm looking for a 16ft v hull or a 1648 flatbottom something I can walk around on, and something to handle a little rougher water. The one I'm in gets a little cramped up after a few hours.. Being able to walk and stretch helps with prolonged trips. so id rather spend $4000 on a decent boat than a fishing kayak. And I'm glad you like the vids bud!

What type an size reels are you using 🤔

The 2 black and blue reels on the black big cat fever rods, are Piscifun Chaos XS 50's they have 20 lbs. of drag The grey reel on one of the white big cat fever rod is a catmaxx from bass pro shops, It has 12 lbs. of drag, and the big chrome reel on the other white big cat fever, is an Abu Garcia C3 7000 with i believe 20lbs of drag as well. I caught one fishing up in Clarksville VA on Kerr Lake. I hear they are in that river I'm on, but I've never caught one there. going back to Kerr soon with live bait to target them specifically. If you watch my vid titled "Late Spring Catfish action w/ Surprise Catch Tiny Boat In The Middle Of A Bass Tournament", that's when I caught the flatty.

Love your videos dude! My local fish are like 40 pound tops, would 80 pound leader help my rigs from tangling up? I have been using 50 pound braid and leader, my rigs tangle up some times. Would a 80 pound mono leader stop my rigs from tangling? I Look forward to your next videos

If you're fishing for blues I would go mono everything. If flatheads I would do 50 lb braid mainline, and 80 mono leader for abrasion resistance. I run 40 mono mainline and 80 mono leader both SlimeLine from Catch The Fever. Hope that helps! Glad you love the videos man. New videos coming real soon!
