The fact that she disagrees with everything Maya claimed is a big enough red flag.

Amazing how sharp her memory is during this questioning, yet she has no recall about anything when Jack's attorney questions her.

This entire case is heartbreaking and no matter how much money they won, it will never be enough for all they’ve been through. This whole case is just mind blowing

To deny a mother of a sick child any contact whatsoever would drive anyone crazy!! And for 2 women that are supposedly mothers to be the main one's pushing that foolishness is beyond disgusting. I've seen children returned to actually abusive parents but Beata couldn't get supervised visitation with her child? Not even for Christmas or to hug her little ailing daughter?? This was all bad faith and a power trip and evil forces at work!! I'm appalled!

She smiles at the Hospital lawyers, keeps her eyes big and wide open, yet shows 0 empathy while listening to Mayas mother telling her daughter, who is begging to come home, to “be strong” just shows she is unable to feel empathy at all.

This monster shouldn't be let near any child. EVER.

They did good with coaching her and changing her image, the hair, the pearls, softened make-up. "Smile. Don't roll your eyes. Look at the jurors when you elaborate." I can hear them now.

Those pearls are not going to save her.

My mother is a malignant narcissist.I know one when I see one- dodging questions, smirking at inappropriate times, looking wide-eyed to look innocent. It's in the body language.

I just got done watching Maya’s testimony. This woman Cathi is so sick. She was kissing Maya, putting her on her lap, stroking her hair, getting close to her face, telling her she was going to be Maya’s mother and so forth. She purposefully brought Maya to the chapel to do these things. The only place where there are no camera’s. Also she was watching when Maya’s clothing were being changed, so she could see her naked. And she wanted to photograph Maya naked, when Maya begged and pleaded with her not to she was allowed to keep her bra and shorts on. But the photos Cathi took were never entered into the hospital computer, so what was the purpose of these photos? It seems like Cathi just wanted these photos for herself. Also she kept Maya’s favorite dress. I honestly believe this woman has some sick and inappropriate infatuation with Maya.

Wow! My how her appearance has changed. You may change your hair color and cover your scowled forehead with bangs. You may hang your pearls over ideology...you may soften your speech and show less assertive pride, but you'll never soften yourself enough to hide what you did.

When the second set of pictures were taken, she recalls pretty confidently that there was not any holding down and screaming, but she does not recall who was with her, whose hand it was on the picture. I hope nobody believes her lies.

There’s no doubt in my mind at all that all young Maya wanted for Christmas was to be home with her Family 😢

I have never once heard a child ASK to sit in someone's lap. They either just crawl over, or an adult invites them/pulls them in. I do not believe her testimony at all about Maya asking to sit in her lap. She's lying through her teeth.

She should have stayed working for advertisement. At least she wouldn’t have been destroying lives if she had. We all know the way she snapped at Maya and Mom over the phone during Maya’s limited time talking with her mother. Ms. Bedy was abusive and controlling as evidenced by the phone recordings.

The hospital treated this little girl terribly. I don’t believe Maya ever used foul language with cuss words at 9 years old given the upbringing from her mom & dad. It doesn’t fit. If they let Maya go home for Christmas her job would be less intensive. This team with Sally Smith made this case unusually difficult and Bedy was a stern facilitator. And no phone so a 9 year old could not call her Mom is cruel. ACH ripped this little girl from her mother to BE IN possible FOSTER CARE! UNBELIEVABLE! It took her mothers suicide to get this girl released for home! Her mother WAS BEING DENIED her daughter on the ASSUMPTIONS of Sally Smith w/o a full work up. THIS WHOLE case is appalling.

That right there is a malignant narcissist after ten months of realizing all of their crimes and victims are no longer under their control.

How terrible is it for a young child to receive a COPY of her birthday card from her mom? Why couldn't they give her te card so that she could put it in her room?? What is wrong with these people?

Now is this the same woman that wrote all the emails bashing this family and poking, poking and poking recommendations to CPS??? Let’s not forget the depositions and the emails that have been presented as evidence.

How could they hold that little girl there by herself on Christmas? They couldn't at least have a monitored visit??

I hope this horrible woman lives every day to regret what she did to the Kowalski family. Beata was HER mother! How dare she not even let her talk on the phone with her daughter. She destroyed and killed Maya’s mother becuase of CONTROL! What harm would have it been to talk to her daughter? Sad!

Bit convenient she placed her glasses on her head, then pretended to scratch underneath her eye, showing the exact same hand to the jury just before she knew she was about to be shown a photograph of her hand in a picture. Even the lawyer went to say “Your hand” 🙄 This witch has been so obviously prepped- she’s is just as bad at acting as she is/was at protecting children!! No amount of clairol or makeup, or granny pearls can hide the true essence of this most vile thing. The over explaining is so rehearsed and indicative of deception. Lying 101. Justice for Maya and her mom.

She can sit there and talk about all the good she’s done, she can list off her entire family tree, nothing changes the fact that she and others responsible for pediatric patients referred to Maya as “Ketamine Girl” while simultaneously holding her hostage. Even if they thought this was on the mom, they failed this CHILD over and over.

I have been waiting for this day since the begining of the trial. I know your shouldn't just a book by its cover but this lady just gives me bad vibes and seems so fake and sus from the get go. Anyway on to watching this testimony.

RN for 40 years here. I suggest Miss Bedy prompted the MD to ask for pictures of Maya. I would be surprised if he initiated that request. I would request documentation and interview that MD. I also didn’t see the push request, maybe missed but priming the infusion is not pushing the drug. Two different actions

How do these people sleep at night? Unbelievably evil the power these women took on an innocent family. They destroyed it.

Is Maya in the courtroom to hear Kathy B continue to lie on the stand… more fluently than in her depo? Only father Jack seems present to witness this witness persist in her callous prevarication. She’s improved her performance since the depo. But hasn’t improved her credibility.

Things don't feel right with this woman. I truly do believe she is covering her backside and the hospitals backside. Shes being untruthful regarding Maya. Very concerning having her employed with children. I wouldn't want her anywhere near my family in anyway.🎉❤

I couldn’t even listen to Maya’s phone calls with her mom. My heart breaks so much for them. I hope God is giving mayas mom peace in heaven after seeing the results of this case.

When CPS / CPI sticks their nose where it doesn't belong they not only tear apart a family it also causes the child to be in worse shape than ever! From my experience that's my view of them as having my own experience with them! They are the ones that should be sued in this situation!

Why would they just be randomly taking pictures of a child that seems not right to me. Especially when their parents aren't allowed to see them and these people don't know what they're doing. This was so sad. I hope the people that did what they did are now no longer practicing

I was amazed at the difference in appearance and attitude in this witness between deposition and trial . She transformed from “ Professional “ confident , at times looking over the top of her half glasses with a condescending school marm in charge type to a slightly fuzzy warm benign “ grandma “ look with the big glasses the polka dot dress and pearls , and the I was just a small cog in the wheel version . I guess it was at the direction of the attorneys to make her look more family “ Friendly “ for the jury , but I found it a little deceptive and creepy like she was wearing a disguise.

I still don't understand why a child in pain in the hospital was kept away from her loving mother father and family? and by the people assigned to protect children. It saddens me when they explain ever so technically their doubts about Maya's level of pain, no love or compassion just very cold, in other words, they think she is lying but never say those exact words. Maya would have felt scared and alone. Cathi sure talks about policies and procedures a lot for someone that doesn't follow them.

After Maya went home,she got fired.! She went to work with disabled children and almost chocked a boy to death.She throw him on the floor,she was chocking him while her coworker was holding the boy down for her.Another coworker called police and she got fired again.....But still she is working with children.!!!She had a case of child abuse but still was allowed to accuse a innocent mother of child abuse.!!!! NICE SYSTEM.....PARENTS STAY AWAY FROM THAT HOSPITAL.!!!! IT'S OBVIOUS THEY ARE GETTING PAY FOR THOSE CASES.!!!!

28.30 So she did know the email address of the bedside nurse but in her testimony to Maya's attorney she couldn't recall the name of the bedside nurse that collaborated with her in forcibly (against Maya's wishes and without seeking parental consent and without knowing the purpose) undressing and taking photograps of Maya! I call this a blatant attempt to protect a person involved in an illegal joint enterprise.

My daughter was sick. Self harming, experiencing PTSD flashbacks, tourettes, OCD, was mentally in shut down. She was being seen by a emergency medical team and everything. School sent social work out to me, even though they had been in a meeting with medical and were told that they had made the choice for her not to go into school at the time. Social work tried to to say I was abusing her and my "daughter wouldn't answer the questions without looking at mother". This social worker came out to my house and was horrible to her, asking her really strange questions, asking for proof that she had these medical problems, even though she knew. she was 10! They were making out she was a liar about everything. And were concerned because she was articulated and showing that she "knew to much about stuff" because she was able to talk about her mental health! Even though everyone had discussed what she was going through with school and medical problems. Not only was she unwell she had to put up with horrific bullying in school. I had to fight for her to have the help she needed, as it was a battle with school. SOCIAL WORK AND SCHOOL abused her! I was protecting her from them and said that I was stopping them from doing their job. Then decided to shut the case because of my refusal to cooperate. It was mental because I never, I emailed to say I want to cooperate but I needed an advocate to be there. They didn't like that so dropped it. I've never met a nice SW. And I've met a good few over the last 12 years. And when you put in a complaint they just move the SW else where. Nothing happens to them, and they don't uphold your complaint
