You do realize that its Catholic national philosophy that gives us the current maths and reckoning on time, medicine, hospitals, education, biological, and enumerable moral understandings right? Don't go throwing the baby out with the bath water here. Catholicism requires a Willing submission of mind and will even if we don't under at the moment why the Church teaches what she does. The Church has already told us that she doesn't weigh in on matters of natural philosophy, except when it over reaches into the realms of morality and theology. Which this topic is neither of those. Their if this matter is scandalous enough to send trimmers though the foundation of your faith, you may wish to figure out where your foundations are no longer on solid ground.
