I definitely see how it would be different in big cities and certain other environments where light and nimble motorcycles would have benefits. In most places in the US, a middleweight bike like this is preferred due to long commuting distances and high-speed highways. In my current commute I don't need to ride over 60mph, so a 250 or something would certainly be fine. But I have a Harley that's 300lbs heavier so the 650F isn't too bad for me, haha.
