I’m only 7 minutes into this video and you have described my entire life. I actually feel heard/seen and my therapists/psychologists have barely mentioned half of what you’ve mentioned here.

I have a really good psychologist who is helping me and I have a really good primary care physician (general practioner) if you are living in Australia, and anyway they are both helping me very well and they also respect my choices and how I live my life. I was always told if you find a therapist and you don't like them, keep seeking out one you do like because depression doesn't go away but good supportive people help you feel better all the time. I know everybody can take a different interpretation on this, but what I'm saying is keep looking for a good therapist and don't just give in because you found someone you don't like.

This is so much more thorough than any psychologist/psychiatrist interaction I’ve ever had. It’s usually “you’re depressed, go take an SSRI”. I’ve never sensed an ounce of empathy or any effort to uncover an underlying cause.

I've a degree in Psychology and an MSc in Mental Health Science, but both are theoretical. I am trying to learn more about working with therapy at a practical level and this video has echoed exactly my thoughts in terms of what's going on behind the symptoms and potential causes, the interplay between so many factors and more importantly, what questions to ask in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the person's difficulties. It's a great video!

I fall asleep at around 6am I go in to my room at 10 pm I wake up at 4pm and rot in a chair every day on till 10pm . Day after day night after night . Roommate goes on with her life . Me I am friendless,I have zero support from roommate. I have no family. I never married. And a walk around the block dose nothing for me . Nobody cares . I am truly alone. A psychiatrist cannot help the way I live the people who don’t care about me. The zero support in the go for a walk it’ll make you feel better because that’s what I’ve experienced with psychologist. Basically, I have to leave my situation and find new friends I know what will help, it’s getting there that’s hard.this is related to your morning conversation. I don’t have mornings read above.

Thanks for watching the video. Here’s how you can start Navigating Emotional Pain in CBT Sessions Regarding Parenthood: * Communicate with Your Therapist: It's crucial to share your feelings with your therapist. It’s important to feel safe and empowered in therapy, and you should not be pushed into a situation where you feel too much emotional distress. * Pace Yourself: Remember that you have control over the pace of therapy. If a topic is too distressing, it's okay to slow down and work on building coping skills before diving deeper. * Develop Coping Strategies: Before exploring painful topics, ensure you have effective coping strategies in place. This might include distress tolerance skills, such as deep breathing or mindfulness, to help manage intense emotions. * Assess Your Thoughts: Consider whether your thoughts about your ability to have children are based on facts or if they are influenced by cognitive distortions. Challenging and reframing these thoughts can be a part of your CBT work. * Self-Compassion: Practice self-compassion and remind yourself that it's normal to have concerns about such a significant life decision. Validate your feelings without judgment. * Explore Underlying Beliefs: Work with your therapist to explore any core beliefs that may be contributing to your distress. Understanding these beliefs can help you address them more effectively. * Consider Your Values: Reflect on your values and how they relate to the idea of parenthood. Are your concerns about having children in alignment with your values, or are they influenced by fear and self-doubt? * Seek Support: Don't hesitate to seek additional support if needed. This could be from a support group, friends, family, or other trusted individuals in your life. * Take Care of Yourself: Ensure you are engaging in self-care activities outside of therapy to help manage stress and emotional pain. This can include exercise, hobbies, or relaxation techniques. * Evaluate Progress: Regularly evaluate your progress in therapy with your therapist. If CBT is consistently causing distress without improvement, discuss alternative approaches or modifications to your treatment plan. Remember, it's important to work through these challenges at a pace that feels manageable for you, and there's no shame in needing to take a step back to focus on self-care and coping strategies. Your therapist is there to support you through this process. Learn more for FREE at allceus.com/DocSnipes-AI

Get out of your head and focus on reality or something beautiful or interesting. And when you feel like shi t and have enough of that stupid behaviour take first steps, literally, move. Be your own hero. Jump, dance, run, masturbate, love, walk, crawl, shout loud. Throw out all your pain, insecurity, negativety. Let go all. Just do it. And remember: you don't have to be pathetic, it's just a view on the world. World is how you see it. Don't be bully but also don't pity yourself. Love yourself. Because you are unique creation, one and only. Everyone is.

I was surprised when you mentioned that anxiety is also part of depression i thought these two are separate things
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes 11 месяцев назад
Yes, anxiety is often be a part of depression due to their interconnected nature. Many people with depression experience symptoms of anxiety, and vice versa. This overlap can be attributed to shared underlying factors in brain chemistry and genetics. The coexistence of anxiety and depression is referred to as comorbid anxiety and depression.
