Love the 58 Edsels. For me it's the fact that the center horse noose in separate from the rest of the grill which gives it a character of its own. Also the tail lights are embedded at the end of the trunk lid and the rear fenders. I only wished they had used a shift lever for shifting the transmission instead of the push butting in the center of the steering column because I understand that they had lots of problems with that setup. But the 58 Edsels are in a class of their own.
Thanks for the feedback. Can't decide on the push button transmission control on the steering wheel though. In some ways, we love the unique style and approach, and in other ways we can see the argument for a more traditional shift lever.
Great cars. The 66 red Mustang isn't a factory Pony interior. It doesn't have the molded door panels. The door code would delineate whether it has the "deluxe interior group" or not.
The 58 to 59 Edsel grill is the first give away. 1958 was the introduction of the all new all different Edsel, with the halo model been the Citation convertible. So intro'd with all the razzle dazzle and glamour with pronounced style features. The grill, tail lights and flashes of side trim, made for lashes of chrome. Then there were the interior features, reversible seat pads, rotary speedo and of cause the controversial push button trans, set in the middle of the steering column! Place between Fairlane 500 Victoria and the Mercury Montclair. Edsel was meant to be, upper house but not the White House that privilege was bestowed upon Lincoln. Once sales numbers started rolling in, frowns were aplenty with each bite of the lemon. Therefore when 59 arrived the towns people had exorcised Frankie and in it's place was the very watered down, diluted, caricature of the 1958 Edsel. Love Detroit
Not at the moment, but keep following as we get new inventory in every week. We do have a couple of early 50's Dodge military trucks that will be available shortly
You people screwed up when you drove the Ramblin Around guy off. He by far a much much better job of promoting your cars and your business name than you do.
