Ah how fitting you selected his Kiev Ukraine concert performance. He also sang this song in Moscow just a week or so apart. And previously at St. Petersburg and Ekaterinaburg. He has been singing this song at every concert since it premiered in his D-Dynasty concert in China in 2018 (I believe). Dimash is a huge promoter of wold peace. This song is a masterpiece.

❤ Thank you for stating that men have head voice too ... everybody keeps calling his high notes either falsetto, or whistle. He can go into the 6th octave in head voice + flageolet, up to F#6, and only in the 7th octave he uses whistle - E7, F7, F#7 and G7 - and they`re very distinctively "whistle". He had a very high head voice as a kid, and worked at keeping it, at fully developing it, and using it for artistic expression (in addition to his very nice low register that can go down to A1 in chest voice) and very few reactors acknowledge it as head voice. Dimash comes from such a wonderful land and their beliefs are indeed a longing for peace. His family actually has a motto. "The family where love reigns". I believe his mother's father was from Ukraine, but they also have strong connections with Russia. There is also a young gentleman in the folk, western, country arena who has called for peace. His name is Avi Kaplan. Former Bass for Pentatonix, so he holds 3 Grammy's while being with PTX. He is also classically trained and had invitation papers in hand from The L.A. Opera when he received the call from PTX to become their bass. He is a great songwriter and focuses on writing songs for those with anxiety and depression as he has struggles with these issues and had to leave PTX after 6 years because of his inability to keep up the pace and he could not get home to be with his mother during her second cancer fight. What a nice reaction! I really appreciate hearing people like you who know singing and understand the voice talk about Dimash's work. I learn so much since I know next to nothing about singing. I always see Dimash as the kid with the 96 pack of crayons while those around him have the 24 pack or the 36 pack. Naturally he will use the colours he has to be expressive in his art. If you go back to the beginning of his journey, many many of us “Dears “ will follow you in this journey as we are like proud parents who cannot get enough of seeing people get blown away by our awesome child. He has his masters degree in music and is working on his doctorate. COVID has slowed this down. He has a vocal coach and he practices 3 hours a day, when he can. He says that Pavarotti had a coach up to the age of 70. He was offered a job at an opera house in his country and he turned them down. He wants to do his own kind of music, he calls it neo-classical. His mother is an opera singer. That whole family sings. His sister has a beautiful voice but she wants to be a doctor. His younger brother plays the dombra, which is one of the string instruments of Kazakhstan and piano. There is a lot to know about Dimash and you will learn it as you listen to more of his songs. The Dears, that’s what he named his fans because they were “dear to his heart” will keep you up with Dimash, his past, present, and future so long as you listen to him. 😊.

I love this song. My understanding is that Dimash composed the music, not the lyrics. He composed it at the age of 17, he was still a student, remarkable. And ofcourse he is very aware of his own countries challenges to becoming an Independant Country. His life purpose, as it is for all of us, I believe, is to love all unconditionally, without judgement. He is such an amazing example of that. Humble, generous, loving & caring for all.
