War and Peace is one of my favourite songs by Dimash. It is both dramatic and has very subtle nuances and the lyrics are beautiful.

You have to watch Dimash’s ‘Ikanaide’ from Tokyo Jazz 2021 his first song in Japanese, it’s sooo clean , you really hear the vocals 👌

Can we just talk about how amazing his original compositions are? I really hope he does more composing in the future, because his original compositions are some of my absolute favorites. He really has a talent for it.

Dimash composed the music to this, and explained his thoughts and ideas for the lyrics, which were then transformed into Chinese poetry by the lyricist. This is entirely his own work--of course he sings it in a way that communicates his personal connection to the message. He has said many times that his greatest wish is for world peace, no more war, that he never wants to see a child crying, that he wants the adults and leaders to prioritize taking care of children who are at the mercy of their decisions. His heart must be aching so much right now with the unrest in his homeland. I hope there is a swift resolution and that peace and unity can be achieved for the benefit of all the people of Kazakhstan.

To me, this is Dimash's version of a Michael Jackson anthem, like HEAL THE WORLD or THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US. He’s singing about things we really ALL on planet earth need to be thinking about. He goes from hopeful to furious in this song, and I loooooove it. He has such a gift at making you feel what he wants you to feel. That last belt is impressively phenomenal. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿 Edited to add: Dimash has said his parents have not given him much advice about his career, as they wish him to be his own person. But the one thing his mother said to him when he was a teen “Son, you have a great gift and you are a hard worker, because of that you will get to choose what you sing in your career. Please sing songs that mean something to you. Sing songs that mean something to the world.” Dimash says he took this to heart and I would agree that he has. There isn’t one frivolous song in any of his performances. Not one. We are so lucky to have him.

This is much more a piece of intelligent and soulful art than "just Dimash song and music" - it'.has deeper meaning in many ways. The way the one voice interacts with the instruments it's like listening to a lonely cry for peace among a war machinery trying to silence the soul's cry for freedom and love. I love this one for that special reason, not so much for the performance as such. But i can think of no better way or voice to make it this powerful!

If you want a more poppy song from him..you should try "Fly away" (new)😊

Hi love,Dimash does speak chinese Manderin,fluently, I am not sure if you miss understood ,it was the hardest language for Dimash to learn, Yes he's still getting better with English but he's been taking classes for over a year. English is difficult, I can barely speak it myself sometimes. He speaks Russian fluently, yes his own language that's #4, I know there's one more, I only know this from one of the dears who personally Know him. Maybe someday I will get to meet him to. Are you feeling better? I am still praying for you, there's alot of teenagers or in their early 20s that get something called long Covid, they say the symptoms never go away. That makes me Sad. Sending you alot of love. Oh yea , Dimash has an album that's in mandarin.

Hi Danielle, you may not have noticed yet that probably every time that he sings a particular song in a different venue, he alters bits and pieces, so there is most likely ten versions of sos by now and all affect you like the first time you heard it. Since he started adding vocalises, especially in concert performances, you notice some spectacular addins. So I think his mind is on full throttle even when emotion is showing. However, there is a couple of performances where the musical accompianament is not as good as the original, and so the full effect is not there. The music Dimash and Igor supply is always spectacular.
