As usual PM Keating is truly outstanding in his analysis. He is a true gift to Australia.

Paul Keating is a true social and economic reformer. He interwove both at the same time, to such an extent that one supports the other. Not seperate aspects to good governance, but simultaneous measures that can lead to true benefits to the country.

Of course you can use a metric or indices to measure inclusive growth. I don't know about how you would measure it but it could be included in a social report on the news- discuss home ownership, job growth, etc in great detail using different methods. I liked Keating's presentation- probably agree with most of it to an extent. I do believe that the wheel can be reinvented in relation to financial reform- I also believe that an emphasis on digital transformation is crucial but that it can't entirely replace some traditional methods, for instance you cannot teach everyone every course at TAFE online exclusively- some courses require face to face. Automation is a big issue that hasn't been tackled yet but yes the opportunity to expand our world must be partnered with limitless imagination and right now there seems to be this problem whereby ideas aren't being exchanged. Politicians are void of ideas and so that's why we get dusty relics like increasing the GST to 15%- people have become afraid of changing the status quo or readjusting things and that's what Keating was trying to convey in his standing address I believe "Don't try to replicate the Hawke/Keating reforms use them as a guide and find your own path." The dollar has been floated and other sources have been exhausted- so now is the time to think about other sources and streams. I personally believe we have much to do but we won't get there without strategic, outside the box thinking. We can support new induistries and totally prop up TAFE, and other areas of education, we can have a perfect health system and we can increase job and wage growth and distribute the wealth. Reform to me is still crucial and the framework needs to be adjusted. I wish we could all engage in idea sharing and exchange. I have so many ideas but the Government refuse to listen- they feign despair whilst their money keeps them warm and complacent.
