i cant wait to go on this in august!!!!! making a trip to kennywood, cedar point and kings island...gonna make it over 100 coasters i've been on!!!!!! wooo hoooo!!!
amazing, thank you for this great insight Bob. Your videos always make it fun to look at! I do not know if I will ever go to Cedar Point, but druch your videos I feel sometimes as if I were there myself. Greetings from Germany!
Always great to hear from you guys in Germany!! I'll certainly post some more videos this summer to help you experience what it's like to be in the park.
MAN was it chilly!! when we finally got our passes verified and entered the gates, it was already after 9. the line just to GET in line for the gatekeeper was all the way back near the front gate. Get this...we started walking along the line, and saw the Plinko game that was set up. on my FIRST try, I won a ticket to go straight to the front of the line :D
coasterbob i love your videos man!!! this was so well done, great job man please keep em comin! i was just there last thursday with my gf for the first time since i was a kid. i live 45 mins away from CP and couldnt tell you why it took me so long to revisit. but im hooked all over again! your vids will keep me entertained until next summer. take care bud
Cedar Point should hire you to make their official videos or like a Cedar Point movie. Great shots of all the rides and done with park noises and not some unfitting song, which I think is great. Amazing video
I was there today and last Wednesday. Last Wednesday was too hot. Today was PERFECT weather! Love your videos man! Are you the same guy that rides the Mean Streak over and over?!?!
We decided to call it a day once the storm started moving in, but then went back in around 9pm just for the heck of it. Should've checked out those coasters!
Finally going back tomorrow and the next day. Thanks to you though, the time between trips doesn't seem so long. I hope to do what I've been planning for years: recording my own footage instead of just uploading Cedar Point's. I'll have to take some of your making-anything-look-good style into mind... but I won't be near as good haha. Keep up everything.
3:10. Wow! Perfect sync of Blue Streak's train & Gatekeeper's train in the same shot, with Blue Streak's turn even nicely centered in the GK inversion. You should capture that, it might make a really nice still. The new and the old. An old favorite & a new favorite! Awesome video! Out of curiosity, what were Gatekeeper's lines running approximately?
The line is probably going to be fairly long all season, especially on a Saturday. I didn't line up for it on opening day. I had already ridden it several times on media day.
thanks for the video bob, how was the line? what was the wait? I'm going this saturday but I don't wanna wait in line for three hours like I did for the maverick...
Hey! Please answer this question CoasterBob62, if not anyone else. I'm going this Friday and Saturday. When I booked and bought tickets + Fast Lane, the forecast was clear. Now, it says Friday will be thunderstorms with rain, but some periods of sun. A total of 6 hours of sun, to be precise. Saturday is calling for a thunderstorm all day with no sun. What can I expect out of my trip? What rides will be open, and will I still leave satisfied (Maverick, MF, TTD and Gatekeeper, few times each)?
No contest - Cedar Point is worlds ahead of Magic Mountain. The only thing that compares are their roller coaster collections. Cedar Point has atmosphere, history, live shows, good and great food. Not to mention tons of rides and things to do beyond the roller coasters. Another big difference is operations. I ride 30 to 40 rides on a trip to Cedar Point and have never been on every roller coaster at Magic Mountain (let alone the other rides) in one day. The park is a train wreck.
I'll pretend I didn't hear that last question :) I'm kind of used that weather up there......in October! At least the sun popped out for a few minutes. Sunday was even worse.
Ok guys I need your help. I have a choice between cedar point. Or Busch gardens in Orlando and Universal studios. Which one you think I should go for? Please help!
I like it, although it took me awhile to learn how to ride it without getting whiplash. It doesn't have big hills...even the first drop isn't very big...but it's fast and has a lot of tight turns.
Going in 2 weeks! My son is finally tall enough to ride everything in the park. Last time we went a seagull took a massive dump in my hair, hoping that does not happen again.
i have a question you can answer between cedar point and six flags magic mountain which one is better my cousin and uncle have been to sfmm and they liked it at first more than are home park cp but now that cp has built this they say cp is better my cousin who loves x2 says that this blows x2 away but i would like to know which park do you think is better
It depends most roller coaster are like 3 hours and thrill rides like maxair is up to 2 hours it's worth the wait but if you want to get on every single ride then you shoul get the fast lane p.s. Your first ride should be the maverick it's awesome ! Lol
