I remember owning this DVD! At the time, there was no RU-vid, so the only way to watch POV's on attractions you couldn't visit were to buy DVDs such as this one. ( Or just wait till Discovery Channel aired a special on coasters that included a POV).
WHEN CEDAR POINT is literally 2 HRS AWAY FROM you, and you never appreciate it's ROLLER COASTERS, because you only rode on the blue streak, and you go every single summer!
And I'm so ashamed, I'm 11 and I ride the Woodstock express, because my mom wants us to be near her, and we have a five year old brother, and I still scream on it! I'm scared of heights, just life me 2 inches off the ground and I would scream
The nyan cat Of roblox and minecraft Ride the big ones. Then you won't be so scared when you go to other parks farther away. The tallest coaster I've ridden is 167 feet tall and you have the potential to ride one more than 2.5 times taller
I have this dvd and watch it around this time of the year to get me excited to go. But they need to make a up to date version with the new coasters they have gotten since this dvd came out.
RIP Disaster Transport and Wildcat... in their ongoing quest for "bigger better faster" they've left those of us behind that liked the less extreme, but still fun rides...
Don't forget Mantis, if you consider Rougarou to be a brand-new coaster (and in a sense, it is). Same for Mean Streak if the rumored RMC conversion turns out to be true.
theunwelcome The conversion is like driving on a stretch of highway in an old pickup truck, then doing it again in a brand-new Camaro. It's the same route, but a completely different experience. Rougarou may not be a new ride, strictly speaking, but I can understand why the park would market it as such. An RMC'd Mean Streak is a different story, though-if it's anything like the previous RMC projects (New Texas Giant at SF Over Texas, Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom, etc.), its layout will be very different from what it is now, despite utilizing the same structure.
Little do people know, magnum was not the first 200 ft coaster. It was the first "full circuit". 200 foot coaster. There was a coaster at Fuji Q Highland that opened before that was 200 ft tall and was a boomerang type of coaster
the blue streak might be the oldest existing ride there, but to me, nowadays, it is like a kids ride compare to the other rides they have at cedar point
*Comparing Cedar Point to Six Flags Great America (my closest theme park):* Top Thrill Dragster - Nothing Millennium Force - taller Raging Bull, and Raging Bull came 1st Magnum XL-200 - Raging Bull with smaller drops Raptor - longer Batman and Batman was 1st Corkscrew - Demon (though I think Corkscrew came 1st) Gatekeeper - larger X-Flight without a doubt, and X-Flight came 1st Wicked Twister - V2 Blue Streak - smaller American Eagle or Viper Mantis (when it was Mantis) - Iron Wolf Mean Streak - much larger version of Viper Rougarou - probably X-Flight without the wing gimmick Iron Dragon - newer Whizzer No originality is my ONLY downside with what looks to be an awesome theme park.
Gatekeeper is soo forceless and is more fun than scary. BTW this documentary was filmed in 2004. Makes sense why Maverick and Gatekeeper aren’t in this video
I was in the fast lane aisle of top thrill dragster on 8/15/21. The lady that was hit in the head with high velocity metal debris was about 30 yards ahead of me. She was in bad condition. I witnessed an additional small piece of debris ricochet off the railing near me at that same moment. I was lucky I guess. TTD may be in jeopardy now 😔
@@samich57 don’t think they will take it down it was the first ride when in it open in 2003 to be the first ride to reach 420 feet tall and to reach 120 mph I think it was a malfunction but they won’t take it down cause of the popularity and being the tallest coaster there (yet).
The Corkscrew is still there, but Disaster Transport has gone defunct since 2012 (along with Space Spiral) to make room for GateKeeper the following year.
Impressive Collection of 16 roller coasters, but my favorite Magic Mountain beats it with 19. I love Cedar Point, but Magic Mountain has more impressive roller coasters
+Jakob Ogan Well magic mountain doesn't have 5 rollercoasters that go over 200 feet do they? They may have more, but hardly any of them break impressive records.
ExposeTeamTV No, but more impressive roller coasters beat impressive records. All records that Cedar Point has for their coasters are beaten, except Valvarin, but all other roller coasters like that have almost the same exact ride layout and height.
Jakob Ogan Is Superman better than Dragster? Is Goliath better than Magnum? Is Full Throttle better than Maverick? Is Batman better than Raptor? Is Scream better than Rougarou? No, no, no, no, and no.
