Actually all of those commenters in the video were on Jackie's side. I mean it just makes no sense to hop in the shower get all wet, put shower gel on certain parts of the bodies, but not the arms and legs. Just because you can't see the dirt, yet, doesn't mean it isn't there. Everytime I shower wash those areas, I see dead skin or whatever go down the drain. Another thing, how on earth are going to be able to use our lotions and oils, if we don't wash off the products, dirt and dead skin from the previous day? If we don't do that, the lotions, creams, and butters will not be able to penetrate the skin.

Yeah I think it’s a white pipu ting. My mate does that too. He washes his hair and hopes 🤞🏾the suds from the shampoo clean the rest of his body as he rinses. I was like Wigga whettt???!!! 😳🤯 Ps- He assumes, While i am the one with hope 😅

I think it's a very American idea to wash so thoroughly every day. If you strip off all of your natural oils with a detergent of course you need to replenish them with moisturisers. I feel it's exaggerated in order for people to use and buy more products. Washing underarms, groin and feet daily does make sense because that's where the apocrine sweat glands are located. They basically include a sebaceous gland so the sebum with sweat provides nutrients for odour producing bacteria. That's why she recommended washing with benzoyl peroxide as a way to reduce the number of bacteria and odour. Also, genetically speaking people of African descent have a higher number of these glands whereas Asians, especially Koreans have less or none. That's why it's difficult for foreigners to find deodorants there. I've noticed that black girls on RU-vid often focus on smelling good when they share their shower routines, some even using harsher soap in the aforementioned areas and layering multiple scented products. We should take all of this into account.

i have had microlinks BUT it was not straight, it was in the exact hair curl pattern i have. no heat damadge, normal wash hair days and my hair grew 7 inches. i had them for about a year and i do recomend it to everybody especially to the Black Women who don't want to straighten their hair.

@@epualc i didn’t retouch as recomended since im a student and don’t have the money to do that. The more your hair grows the more it got noticeable but it was rare that someone pointed it out.

Lol right me too. I had one in the 90s. Remember having to use that gold bottle with red writing on it to keep it moisturized. Hair was on drip...and not in the cool way😭

Just took out kinky curly itips. I wore them in wash &gos as well as braid out/twist outs. Don’t do it. I am now bald headed. None of your hair is protected. Also the stylist herself was amazing, but the hair was poor quality and kept matting up. Since all of my hair was out, it would mat up with my hair. Not to mention it cost $1,000.

I worked at a boutique for five years. During the winter months many customers who would leave pants in the fitting room for me to put back would have so much dead skin falling from the pants. This was so common and it was so gross!

She was more about the fact that you genuinely don't need to wash with a harsh body wash every day especially on areas of your body that don't accumulate a crap ton of bacteria or odor , as a person with frequent body eczema I don't wash every day it's point less your not even giving your body enough time to get dirty and are striping the natural oils then replacing it with lotions you have to spend money on on top of the soap , the soap industry is relatively new especially in the us .

About daily bodywash, she was referring that daily wash with scrubbing and soap involved is not necessary, if you take a shower on the daily basis, hot water and gentle massaging are enough to exfoliate normal skin, way too much exfoliation and fragances tend to produce hyperpigmentation in darker skintones as response to damaging the outer most layer of skin. I personally scrub daiky with a very soft sponge to control my keratosis pilaris along with lactic acid lotions.

They got perms, which is a process where you make someone's hair curly using chemicals...like this one. Dr Dray gives me weird vibes. We wash all parts of the body, and twice! I had micro links (w/glue) like 20 years ago.. my hair looked great, and it was a technique & look that was not mainstream among regular folks. But ohh man the DAMAGE!

I stick to my crochet braids. I can’t do wigs and weave’s. My scalp rule my head. I do what she say. I will wear a ponytail but 5 days is all I can give unless it’s my hair in a ponytail.

I used to wear curled clip-ins but that’s when I used to go to shop once or twice a week/ heat trained. It helps protect my hair and grow which I never thought was possible. I would love to try micro links now that they are mainstream again.

I have braid in bundles. Love them . The only problem is finding a vendor who sells them in your hair texture. I got mine from an iffy hair vendor. Bohoexoticstudio. Hair was good quality but a difft texture and thickness each time you purchased. She is rude to complainers and now outta business

How hard is it to moisturize after you wash your arms and legs? It's personally not too much trouble for me, and I would still have to moisturize after rinsing only anyway. I wonder if any of these proponents of rinse-only adhere to the same technique when it comes to their hair. What about foot odor?

I'm sure she's pro washing feet I think it's more your stripping your skin that doesn't even have any dead skin or dirt on I lt from its natural oils for no reason just to replace it with lotions , it's like the yt ppl who wash heir hair everyday bc it's oily even tho they don't use any other product than shampoo so ofc their scalp is going to overcompensating for the lack of moisture , basically our skin doesn't need to be "cleaned" every single day our genitals yes but arms &legs every day is excessive.

Dr. Dray explains more throughly in other videos. She states to use wash on areas where skin touches skin. So genitalia, butt crack, arm pits, hands and feet. The soap you had on the other area with wash over the other areas as you rinse. Like when they say just apply shampoo to your scalp

me personally i like i-tips for me they last long and are personally one of the best styles ive gotten but that being said i am over cautious of my hair and treat my links like they are my hair. there are requirements for this style however if you cant get it retouched every few months, if you already dont have a routine, if you have thinner hair, they arent really for you. also taking precautions when getting them i only blow my hair out when i get them installed, make sure they match my texture( 4b 4c), dont clamp the link too tightly, and make sure to keep up a routine. also the stylist plays a big part in this. its much like getting microbraids, they can be really bad if you dont know how to treat them. (tension, regrowth, styling..ect)
