There is a RU-vidr who is also heat trained and has had tailbone length hair, her RU-vid name is sistawithrealhair. I never desired to heat train or even straightened my hair, but her videos were very informative on her hair care routine and I was tuned in every time she posted.

Yes! She's absolutely gorgeous! Loved her during her pageant days and even now! Studying her hair has actually taught me so much about heat training and the altering of curl patterns over a long span of time. My how we’ve come along way, I remember when the Natural Hair Movement started, if you were heat trained people would say you weren’t naturally. It got deep🤣. I’ve just discovered your channel. You remind me of my youth, on this subject. I was absolutely heat trained (might have to go back) and if I can give anyone who sees this a tip. Give your hair at least 4-6 weeks off in a year (however you break it up) with no heat. And do some treatments, this will stop you from getting a lot of breakage.

Heat trained hair, is just another name for damaged hair. No, that’s not natural. Natural hair returns to its NATURAL CURL PATTERN. So called “heat training” breaks down the true texture of the hair, which allows it to be worn straight for long periods of time. It basically does the same thing that a relaxer does, but without the chemicals.

@@leahjames6870 that’s fine with some of us. I literally like my heat damaged hair more because it’s sooo easy and it retains length better than my very dense 4a curls do. I have been natural for almost seven years. With the last year using heat, no extensions not even braids.

For all the heat trained naturals with healthy hair teach me your ways cause I’m in a STEM Ivy League and I thought I would have time but I do not. I often do protective styles like stitch braids but they are so pricey and all my money goes to my school also they can sometimes cause too much tension on the scalp. I cannot do wigs because they’re so much maintenance and I don’t like the look ngl. Please help a girl out

Get a revair That thing is a lifesaver. You can go from washed to flat ironed hair in under 1.5 hours. Also I personally never do “protective styles” my hair grows quicker and thrives without them as long as I keep it stretched, use my heat protection, keep my trims up, and don’t go above 390 on the flat iron

Ugh I’m sorry the jordyn woods hair is damaged .. those ends were fragile hunty … I’m deciding if I want to heat train and this is making me stay curly..maybe I’m bougie cause heck no my straight hair must be full and thick to the ends otherwise it’s damaged. Professional know heat damage call it trained but there’s a difference.

I'm not sure, I don't know much about her haircare, but she might be a blow-dry natural since most hairstylists blow-dry hair before braiding it down for wig/weave installs. Thank you for enjoying the video!
