Hands down one of my favorite cars I had as a kid. I don't understand why more people don't build them. Such a slept on car. Love the build but this thing needs more power.

232hp on a light weight car that's pretty damn good

I got my first "tune" at drift office for my Celica GTS back in 2014. I think Bob was the owner then. Told me to do the same, get a link ecu, which I did. Didn't really get tuned but I don't regret getting Link, its awesome. Whoever tunes it, make sure they have the ability to tune off cam first, then integrate lift after maxing out power.

I had the aem fic in the past to. You can adjust the fueling and timing (that’s all) yourself. Not a big thing. You just need a computer, usb cable and the aem software.

Hope this helps somewhat but I would look at getting a 340lph fuel pump and grabbing some 650cc injectors. You'll need them to make anything past where you are at safely and the FIC is fine as long as you can find a tuner that is comfortable with it. Lots of info on old forums if you get stuck and best of luck.

I’m waiting for a company that hybrids existing combustion cars adding an electric motor(s) to the rear wheels and Tesla battery pack in the back adding potentially an extra 2-300 hp with cost a under 8k. Currently plenty of companies that do swap conversions which has many cons like the cost of adding ac and especially that limited range. How about a robust version of those cheap low powered motorized rear axles currently on the market? There are concept motorized wheels with long term reliability issues from what I’ve read. The 7th gen Celica is the best looking body style excluding exotics.

14:1 afr is incredibly lean even for a n/a car. 11.5:1 on pump gas is what you should be aiming for

What are you tuning with? I heard AEM. My 2zz with 8lbs of boost made 296 whp but we were using Apexi PFC with datalogit. We could've safely squeezed more but my clutch was slipping. This was at CA over at southern california (Church Automotive ). Good luck with a good tuner.

If you like to run it up into lift regularly and you're running that lean on boost, you're asking to burn pistons at a minimum. Get that fueling issue sorted out first before you continue to drive it.

Congrats!!! 260hp on a 2600lb car will definitely be faster than a stock Honda S2000, you could run even with a new Civic Type R.

I dont know much about tuning, but you should definitely sort it out; that idle sounds rough. Otherwise love the car.

Link is good, but you should upgrade the fuel pump and maybe take it somewhere else for a retune. Also, you shouldnt drive it right now until you get a retune.

Having had a GT-S ... I would say keep the engine safe. Save your money for your MR-S.

Holy crap dude, that's super lean on boost. Stock pump should be fine, what Injectors are in it? Could be better going for a return fuel system and fuel pressure regulator. Go steady in it, would be a shame to let a piston go.

I have my 95 Civic Coupe that's my built track car I had a 04 Honda Accord V6 6-speed manual coupe with the j-series in it with the 1 of 500 ever made hfp Honda Factory performance package that had full bolt-ons 320 HP at the wheels Somebody t-boned me a couple months ago and I ended up picking up something different that wasn't a Honda for once for a daily driver It's the 2004-2006 Mitsubishi lancer Ralliart Edition with the 4G 69 with Mitsubishis MIVEC and I just did full bolt ons and some suspension mods it's actually pretty quick it surprises me and just dynoed at the other day So I don't know if you still have the Celica if you do you should meet up with me and my friend that's had his since it was brand-new that has intake headers exhaust and some other mods is the TRD Edition as well maybe we could get some runs in for fun

And a Bigger Fuel cell pump gas tank and some other goodies

I’d make ur own standalone with the speeduino. Way cheaper.
