I understand the inside anatomy of the stomach much better now and I appreciate the picture of the stomach, as well as the flow of what is secreted and the mechanisms that happen when you ingest food.
helpful flow chart of how one cell leads to the production of another. I also liked how you labeled things with different colors to make it clear and organized.
Keeping the structure of the stomach next to the explanation of the cells in the stomach was so clever and helpful since I could look back at the other information and how it affects the stomach and what it does as I was learning the cells.
This video was particularly helpful because it starts off with showing me the bigger picture of cells of the stomach, and then zooms in to explain each cell. These cells are then broken down even more to demonstrate the hormones they end up activating.
Thank you for creating a clear and smooth explanation of a somewhat complicated subject! The stomach cells have always been a hard topic for me to grasp.
the flowchart made it easy to understand how cells and their secretions influences another cell, and i liked that the information was straight to the point and clear, very helpful video!
I liked how you not only identified the three cells of the stomach, but also went more into depth and talked about what each cell secretes. It was cool to be able to understand that ulcers can be caused by a lack of mucosal lining created by the M cells. This video was very short, but also helpful and informative!
I enjoy learning more about the biochemical parts of the digestive system and liked that you explained how the active proteases break down proteins into smaller molecules by actually breaking the amide bonds of proteins so you then have free floating amino acids. Easy to understand and conceptualize a complicated topic. Tara Atigh MEDA summer 2020
Trish Guajardo MEDA 115 Fall 2021. This was a fantastic video! I felt like I understood what you were explaining about the stomach and the importance of how the stomach functions. I’m glad my M cells are working!
Great explanation of the cells and usage of clinical correlation during the flow chart! Information sticks a little better in my head after hearing about a medical correlation.
Sign that I know the information pretty well is that before he even said something, I already knew what he was going to say. Good job and please keep posting videos, they are very helpful and the colors keep me focus. :)
I like how you are straight to the point in your videos. Your videos are a great way to review before a test since they are short and simple. Good job.
I like how you separated the two videos of the anatomy of ht stomach and the cells of the stomach. The two quick videos helped keep my focus instead of having a long video that would have probably lost my focus.
I am really glad you made this video! The book talked about it, but going over it in this video allowed me to better understand and clarify which cells secrete what. This video allowed me to break it down in a simpler way and memorize them better. I liked how you clarified that HCI helps break down pepsinogen into pepsin.
Summer Mesa MEDA 110: This was super interesting because you went more and more into depth. Started off broad but definitely got specific which I liked.
Thank you for further breaking down the cells of the stomach. In class it can be a little hard to follow through but this video helped catch me up to speed. I like how you used different colors and how you drew out the stomach.
Thank you for clearly mapping out the relevant cells in the stomach and explaining their association with one another! I like how you elaborate on these concepts because we have such little time in class for a thorough explanation.
This was by far the most helpful video for me, personally. I missed this part in lecture and viewing this at my own rate made me understand the cellular functions.
This video was very useful because it was a simpler representation of the different types of cells of the stomach. I found it very easy to understand and remember.
very thorough explanation of the types of cells helped to break it down & helpful to have it all illustrated in one place with cells and their secretions
When I first watched your "digestive system functions" video, I was hoping you were going to talk about the importance of the intrinsic factor but you mentioned it in this one instead! Thank you for going over the basics of it and mentioning the anemia that comes along with the absence of B12. Also the way that you drew the flow chart of how the hormone gastrin stimulates the parietal cells is very helpful in understanding the triggers of the stomach secretions.
i had a hard time keeping track of what cells secrete what in the stomach when i was first going over this chapter and this video helped me understand what cells do what
I missed going over the cells when you went over it lecture, and watching this video really helped me understand the function and importance of each one. The flow chart simplified them all and made it easier to grasp.
Excellent explanation of the different cells, I also like the visual diagram of the stomach. Good idea to ask questions along the way to keep us actively engaged throughout the video.
I like when you ask a question and wait a little bit for us to think of the answer. One way for someone who is engaged to use and apply what they just learned
I find these structures really confusing during lecture as I feel like they all sound the same and were introduced quickly. The video was very helpful for me to understand each one of them and their functions. Each cells were introduced clearly and was broken down into parts to make it easier to follow!
I never really understood this concept since it was introduced and explained quickly in a previous class I took. This video was quick but it really helped me understand the cells of the stomach and their functions. Thank you!
it was very easy to understand all three types of cells with your explanation and flow chart . Watching all the videos of the digestive system really has helped my understanding of it
I found the flow chart you drew was very helpful. At first, I thought the cleaving processes were a bit confusing, but now they do not seem so bad anymore due to the visual example.
I kind of wish I would have taken your class in person and not online, you explain things very well and the information sticks more than when I just read it out of the book. Plus you go a little further in depth with certain things which the book should do but I don't think I'd enjoy reading all that material.
BIO 327 2019 Seeing how each cell contributes to the function of the stomach is amazing! the terminology can be a little confusing but watching the video has helped tons! thank you!
Good explanation. The G-cells and its responsibities. Of the main function. Parieto cells That secrete two compounds. I myself had anemia. And had no idea of what function factored with anemia
great visual! very organized and easy to read and understand. you really explain this topic well through both the visual and the helpful, organized flow chart. very good and efficient video
The cells are what is inside the stomach. They are the G cells which are responsible for the secretion of the hormone gastrin. Gastrin’s main function is to activate another cell called parietal cells. Parietal cells main function is to secrete 2 compounds, hydrochloric acid and intrinsic factor. Chief cells main function is to secrete pepsinogen. After watching this video there are so much that goes into our stomach which tells me how vital this organ is to our body.
He is left handed. I am also left handed and I can write words backwards, upside down, or in any directions. I won’t even be surprised if he can also write with his right hand, even if it is not the best penmanship out there.
This was a great review, i actualy forgot about the intrinsic factor. I think my wife may be effected by this seficiency. She has enemia, and was advised to take b-12 suppliments.
