Bernardo didnt stamp on Goldson, Goldson went over the ball and kicked Bernardo on his left knee which should have resulted in a yellow card or a sending off for Goldson.

Alec, Celtic fan here in peace. Those opening 8 minutes of your video were brilliant!! Good, thoughtful game analysis. I listened to the game on Radio 5 ( can't be arsed with Radio Scotland commentary and their pundits) and I could almost feel the tension from the stands especially in last 10 minutes. Your content is excellent, as ever. All the best for 2024

If it wasn’t a penalty, and was later shown as offside , which is fine … but why was a goal kick given from an offside call 🤷‍♂️ … Its like they got two wrong decisions and fluked the final outcome … It’s farcical . Positives… Sterling was shining light , rarely gave away possession , pass completion was good , defensive work good , he looked up for it .. ! Negatives .. we badly need a proper number 9 .. Dessers is not deserving of a starting place , workrate has improved but his finishing is the difference between winning a game or losing it ! … No other way but to Step into the new year with best foot forward bears … take it on the chin , we are taking this to the wire ! 🔴⚪️🔵

I am a Celtic fan and it was the same for us in the 80s and 90s, played well ended up with nothing because Rangers had the big game players and better quality. This era is a mirror image you will have your day I just hope it’s not too soon

This is absolutely epic ….the Godfather cake thing and Lee Strasberg ( actors studio) had me totally nodding along to your ( maybe as I’m a similar age) vlog. I remember seeing John playing Strathclyde uni, when he was actually propped up in his seat by a roadie ! He then delivered a beautiful set. Was roughly round about the ‘Solid air’ era.

Celtic fan here from nz, 48 years old and first ever comment on a RU-vid video, but that first 8 minutes was too good. Best intro to a reaction video I’ve ever seen. Absolutely brilliant. Didn’t want it to stop 😂. Keep those blue tinted specs on mate, they suit you well and are obviously not blinding like many green and blue glasses out there. I won’t say good luck in the title race. Too tight to call…

Another gem Alec ! On a weekend where nothing went right ..except Tavs free kick ..this was the necessary distraction we all needed .one thing that never changes is the devastation of losing to them ..nice wee aside from wee sleekit Brendan about seeing off 5 rangers managers ...failed to mention the slaps in the face from his employers at Liverpool and Leicester City...nor the pelters from his own support in recent and defeats from ....in the words of wee McGregor nobodies ...the same nobodies we had played before meeting his mob according to him .Happy New year Alex just take it easy on the Wincarnis.

I can't take this anymore - it was clearly Goldson who went over the ball on poor Paulo Bernardo and then pretended he was hurt. Tis he who should have been sent off. Oh and by the by the only reason I don't give it the crying emoji's is because I don't know where the emojis are on this phone. PS: I will swap you Borna Barisic for Greg Taylor and £2m - what do you say?!?!?

No wonder you can't take it, when you're talking about the second half incident and not the one which takes place on 11mins and 39 secs in the first half when the Sky cameras give us a nice slow-mo close-up of Bernardo stamping on Goldson's ankle. Like it says on the tin, it's reaction rather than analysis. And, like I say in the reaction, I'm very aware I have my blue-tinted specs on during the game AND I will be in no rush to watch the game back. I'm basically disqualifying my opinions on refereeing til I've calmed down (mid-March) but thanks for word-based emoting though and, if you would just hold on the line for a second, I will try to put you through to our new director of recruitment re the final portion of your post... (apologies for the on-hold music)

Cantwell isn't really delivering what we hoped he would is he? I'm not sure if he's having a difficult time or if that's as good as we can get...either way what we're getting back from him isn't rangers standard at the moment sadly. Time will tell.

For me Alex, although their goals didn’t come from a lack of the following, it still irked me that we didn’t press as a team as I’d hoped. First half in particular we let them play a bit too much football and only the occasional press led to a chance for us. We were slack in possession and even more so when clearing our lines. It felt like every clearance went to a Celtic player. Our crosses and corners were also poor. Cantwell wasn’t quite at it. In these games you need your 8/10 to nullify McGregor as much as possible or at least put him under pressure but we didn’t do that. Having said all that, a better striker and we’re probably winning the game. They should also have had two second yellows. Fingers crossed we can add to the forward line and get some players like Lawrence, Raskin and Jack back who could have contributed today.

Can't argue with any of that, Roscoe. We lost - not good enough. But that we can diagnose the reasons we lost so readily rather than being in "where do we start?!" territory, paired with our manager's record until today, gives me great hope.

Hi Alec The handball; goal kick: offside; VAR didnae think it was a foul, is a very big deal. Two OF games on the trot that VAR has influenced the outcome of the match, but that today was sinister. You've underplayed this one big time Alec. Hope you have a good New Year.

Hope you have a guid 2024 too, mate. Hope we both do. Tbh, I overplayed it in the preview pod - that these games can only be "controversial" if Celtic don't win them - and have spent most of my time on Gersnet referencing Peter Lawwell's referee-pressuring cheating over the last 20+ years. So I'm probably at the point today where none of it even surprises me. Furthermore, I don't ever want to sound like Lawwell, Lennon, O'Neill, etc., in these situations - "always cheated never defeated". A post-match reaction is just that - pure reaction - rather than cold, objective analysis. I did mention that I always have the blue-tinted specs on and was in no hurry to go back and study that game so couldn't take my own opinions seriously on what I saw today from the officials. For me, it was seriously dubious and it's not just these last two OF games - we were also denied the lead the last time we were at Parkhead by the kind of decisions which seem to come from officials succumbing to Celtic's plastic paranoia. I just won't go in OTT about officials until I've slept on it. Usually😁

But I am your typical Rangers fan. And the first few minutes here are ABOUT pseudo intellectuals rather than pseudo intellectual in themselves. I'm baffled as to how someone who possesses the intelligence even to type words is still judging a person's intellect by the team they support when 99% of football fans - be they professors or inbred Tory peers - eschew intellect and go completely tribal when choosing the team they support.
