Adipurush had no vulgar, sexual nudity, violence..Censor board's job is to censor such kind of content and not chop off a film just bcoz its "BAD". Have better clarity on the role of censor board.

Though OMG may have been good in thought but it was naive in execution they compared geeta with books which allow sex slavery , killing , loot and rape of non-believers . Geeta never even mentions about religious identity whereas the other two books are deeply religious and narrow minded in nature they are like the rule books of a tribe

Exactly. And Shiv ji played by Akshay in the movie does not harm the morals or ethics of Sanatan Dharma. If only they got to know more about it they would understand how fluid and open our culture was, along with being productive. Whereas a movie such as Adipurush, which clearly violated the inscriptions received no cuts or censorship from the Censor board. I feel that it was even a greater shock as we as an audience and creators together have collectively began to be more defensive about anything portraying our culture. But the makers of Adipurush stuck with the low quality production of old movies and made the horrendous approach to put them into a religious movie.

It's quiet well known about Shiv ji's propensity for drinking bhaang. These scenes were in no way provocative or should have hurt religious sentiments. Whereas dialogues like "Jalegi tere baap ki" etc and having Hanuman ji say them was most definitely wrong. Indians lose their mind on the most ridiculous things, but losing it over nudity, sex has to be at the top of the ridiculous list.

That shows the creativeness of the creators itself. And after the movie, do they really thought that we would change our minds regarding the movie? Coming in interviews and even justifying their work through Manoj Sir, whose dialogues were not worth mentioning. I mean, if you had a budget like this, you would really want to invest it in a story that's interesting to tell with beautiful shots, picturisation of characters and character arcs. But in that,the movie really failed. I thought that the entire film should've never existed.

Sometimes when an actor decides not to do a film the script also gets disregarded because a director cannot invest in that film and risk a loss. Big actors when they accept scripts is when a producer actually invests money and film distributers show interest and thats how a film becomes flop proof. Even the rights of the film once sold can recover costs of the film made.

@WdhChuhel prabhas was targetted for choosing that film and people did say why the hell he chose to take part in this project but then the saviour scapegoats manoj muntashir and om raut became like a shield and suddenly they became a limelight for the disastrous film. Btw adipurush wasnt a flop too as prabhas was a face of it,they made sure all profits were made.

You have not understood. The movie does not have 27 cuts. It has 27 types of cuts. The actual number of cuts is between 50 and 60. And now comes the fun part. The movie has been given an "A" certificate AFTER these cuts. It is not a choice between 27 types of cuts and an "A" certificate. It is both. That is how badly religious sentiments have been played with in the movie

I hope we get an uncensored version later but I am still hopeful for this film! It may pose to be a really compelling courtroom drama!

The people of the country did not let Adipurush run rampant. In fact after the first 2 days, the film bombed and is one of the worst flops of 2023. In fact the strictures of one of the High Courts of India censuring the CBFC is what has made the CBFC learn a lesson and become more alert to ensuring that public sentiments are not hurt, not only of muslims, but also of Hindus

If you want to create a movie around LGBT/Sex ed subject, then why include religion in it? You can make a really good film on this subject without a caricature of Shiva. And why it's always our gods? I watched it twice. First day first show and then on the second weekend when it got UA certificate. Both times in IMAX. I barely saw any difference in both versions 🤣 Even the sex scene with Bhagavad Geeta was still there which caused all the drama to begin with😂😂
