The centreline is a straight line drawn from the center of the Wing Chun exponent's body to the center of their opponent's body. It is the shortest and most direct path to attack and defend. Also, the center line vertical meaning is an imaginary line that divides your body into two halves, on that line major vital points are located, such as the throat, eyes, plexus, and groins, you protect these points with guard, footwork and at the same time try to find an angle, to go on the blind side of the opponent to attack his vital points on his center. You avoid going force against force to achieve this goal.
