I have a magnacleanse , and a powerflush machine think am going to get a thorough flush as if the water pressure is good reversing the flow quickly will cause alot of turbulence and hopefully give me good results. We will see. I got my self the Adey ProCheck so i can test the water quality at the end, I find the customers like the report. once the inhibitor is in does that also breakdown what magnetic is left in the system or carry it too the magnaclean as I've just flushed the old radiators out the old school way with hose on each end as they were two big for me too lift the smaller ones i removed also agitated them the rest i replaced, i put mc1 in but the full bottle on a 10 rad system as i wanted more then too less

Excellent pal, I generally wrap a dish cloth around the rad agitator. It prevents chipping the radiator paint. The rad hammer's also great for shifting magnatite from P2P's at when you need to get the hot water up and running. Again wrap the rad hammer with a dish cloth. 2 x Adey MC3 are equivalent to a bottle of MC5. Don't get flustered by the trolls. They always seem to know how to do things better 😜, great tutorial pal 👍

Great job as always. Just out of interest, when would you power flush a system rather than magna cleanse? How do you decide which is best? Many thanks.
@MJTiffPlumbing
@MJTiffPlumbing 3 года назад
Thanks mate. I personally don’t powerflush systems as I think it’s not great to overpressurise a heating system that you don’t know the history of. I’ve heard stories of powerflushes blowing fittings apart.. so I don’t do it. The MagnaCleanse relies on the systems pump to do the work so it’s basically running how the system runs day in day out apart from the various solutions used and the radiator agitator doing its job

@stephenk0nig252
@stephenk0nig252 3 года назад
This is not a criticism of power flushing. I'm guessing that CH system has 100+ litres of water in it and 10+ big radiators. That is a tiny tiny amount of sludge really on the magnets. Pretty much nothing at all. Power flushing used to be a gravy train for a certain organisation - they insisted upon it. It was relatively easy to do and they charged an absolute fortune. I refused to have it done until I had a new boiler at which point it was essential for the guarantee. You will always get sludge - steel radiators and copper pipes and water = a chemical reaction. Mr Adey was my plumber before he became famous btw.
@MJTiffPlumbing
@MJTiffPlumbing 3 года назад
This isn’t a powerflush.... it’s a system flush... one pressurises the system and the other uses the systems own ancillarys to assist the flush A lot of the sludge that isn’t magnetic is flushed out the system obviously..a lot was removed from the system resulting in just by doing this many of the 12 radiators are now working as they should, and the system is getting a lot hotter and heating the house better. I’ve done plenty of system flushes all with great results..👍🏼
