The Cerapad KIN might just be one of the best hard pads on the market right now. Speed wise it's right around the same range as the Zowie GTFX and Cooler Master MP510. Although it does have a long break in period. Once broken in however it provides a very smooth and some what quick, yet controlled surface, that is amazing for both tracking and click timing. But the Cerapad KIN won't be for everyone as it does has some quirks and tradeoffs which I go over in this video.

Thanks for sending it out, I'm glad I had the opportunity to check it out. I did have some people ask about using 'pledge' cleaner to temporarily make the surface faster. Could that hurt the ceramic coating?

There is a highly likely chance this will be my new main pad. right now for me It's between this and the Vancer ICE. I think the ICE is better for pure tracking but the Cerapad KIN is better overall.

Thanks for the review! Just a note, i don't personally recommend the arm sleeves with thumb holes because it also covers your palm which feels weird if you use a grip where the palm rest on the mouse

Thanks for the input. I wasn't sure how it would affect the grip. I'm sure some people wouldn't like it for that purpose then.

I cut a hole in my sleeve for using a skypad, it definitely feels weird at first, I even switched to a smaller mouse but after getting used to it its totally fine, feels completely normal so long as it sits right. If it stretches across the palm instead of being loose then it can make a small gap which does feel weird to play with so have to adjust the sleeve right when you put it on.

I CANT FIND SLEEVE WITHOUT STITCHES AT THE WRIST ITS SO ANNOYING AND LIKE WORST POSSIBLE CASE TO HAVE STITCH CLOSE TO WRIST SO ITS GLIDING DIFF THERE

How does coating hold up? That is my question. Some other uses got scratches and coating coming of in center after 4 days of use. That worries me. What is you experience regarding coating wear off and scratches and general damage?

I haven't noticed any serious scratches yet. I did get one from when I opened the box but that was my fault and I was using a sharp knife but thankfully it was small and out of the way. As far as normal use I haven't really encountered many. I think the original cerapad showed them worse because it was a glossy black surface. This grey surface on the KIN version hides them better.

Hello what is your current opinion on the cerapad kin? and what about the durability because I see a lot of people who have problems i can't decide if i should get the cerapad kin or artisan raiden xsoft

It's easily my favorite hard pad still. Mine is holding up well although it does get some searches. It won't look pretty forever. I still really enjoy it though. From what I've seen on Twitter their support is top notch as well. I think the real deal breaker for most is the stickiness it has. Cloth pads are still a safer option for many imo. But if you're into hard pads it's amazing. As far as durability. It should definitely last longer than a cloth pad for sure based on what others reported but I still need to spend more time with it myself to truly know.

@@DatGoodSir Hey many thanks for the answer can you tell me more precisely what you mean by stickiness because that's exactly what I don't like about micro adjustments that's why I decided to use faster pads

I mean stickiness as in the way it is on your skin not the glide. Although it does have that glide "stickiness" too for about the first 20 hours while you break it in.

The skypad is going to be faster still even though its the 2.0, It depends on what you're looking for.

@@DatGoodSir I appreciate the reply, I went for the cerapad because it has speed and control as well as insane durability. Since they a 2 week return policy, I can try it out break it in and see if its better im excited because I've always been on cloth and not having consistency has been annoying to say the least.

Yes, but it depends on the mouse I use and the grip with it.

I use 1600 dpi, 35.8 cm/360, and I came from using the Zowie GTFX which is a tad on the faster side.

The same cm/360 sens? Nah I just use whatever auto scaling option the game has for ads and zoom usually.

@@DatGoodSir OK, funny I have the same sensibility as you. Do you think you'll do a tutorial on your movements one day? What impresses me in your videos is the way you use your environment in your duels. The keyboard part is usually overlooked by players, yet I see that placement and movement are what (for me) make the difference with good players. Pass a good weekend.

I would highly recommend against this pad. the first one i got the coating scratched and chipped overnight from normal use, contacted tj exclusives and got it replaced, and the second one has the same problem. switched back to a cloth pad about a month ago and today I was cleaning it but i wanted to play a game while it dried, so i pulled out the second kin and out of curiousity stuck a piece of scotch tape to it (the crystal clear kind that barely sticks to anything, plus this roll of scotch tape could not have been less than 4 or 5 years old i pulled it out of a drawer) and pulled it off, it took a smattering of the coating off with it. So no, this pad will probably not last for years and years, seen as not one but two of them have failed to last DAYS. also both of them were scratchy as hell. pretty sure they damaged my mouse skates.

Seems like you had a vastly different experience than me. I've been using it for several weeks and haven't noticed anything major like that on my particular copy. Did the scratches change the glide or affect tracking or was it just cosmetic? Also I'm very curious what color was it under the coating where tape was? As far as skates go I did forget to mention that they get worn down alot quicker. Thanks for sharing your perspective. I'll update everyone if I face these problems on mine but for now it's still working great for me.

I saw someone complaining about that on twitter a while ago. Seems like it isn't super rare but your pads were still defective. Other people who had the original cerapad have had no such issues for months.

Why none of the reviewers of this pad is clear about whether the dust particles and hair really do or do not affect the glide. What I want to say is that on pure tempered glass pads like the Skypad, a tiny bit of dust or when you go over the hair with your mouse, the feet of the mouse get stuck and rub. Ultimately, this feels awful. I'm not talking about the slowdown or dirtiness of the pad, I'm asking if this is happening ? It's a very expensive lottery for a pad that isn't clear about its biggest problem, even with the current 25% Black Friday discount.

Yes, that is an issue for every hardpad. Crumbs,particles etc will grind between the skates and pad. A little bit of dust won't hurt but if it's big enough then it will. You really do need to whip it off with a microfiber cloth every hour or so.
