I totally agree about the comment of the fact that Michigan is excellent when it comes to tackling. I made that same comment during the game and I saw it time after time after time. They’re open field tackling was amazing, especially amongst the defensive backs.
Yeah, but their tackling was the result of the videos of other teams' signals that they watched under a towel on the sidelines right before each series. Right?
Joel Klatt said Michigan has averaged recruiting outside the top ten classes for the last five years whereas Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, etc have been in the top ten. Michigan has coached up their 3 and 4 stars better than anybody.
It also demonstrates how flawed the ranking system is. Michigan's QB backup, Jack Tuttle, was a high 4-star just around the top 100 players in 2019 and he never became a starter even when he was at Indiana. Stars don't go out there on the field, the players do.
As a NY Giants fan who watches them tackle poorly every Sunday, it's a joy to watch my Wolverines play sound, fundamental football with excellent tackling ability...the only missed tackle I can recall was Sainristal missing the 'Bama RB who scored a TD in the Rose Bowl early in the game...I was so surprised to see that because that never happens
@@Buffalorock902Better check your newsfeed. The NCAA just said Michigan won the title, and this is a quote “fair and square”. The last hope of the jealous haters is gone 😂.
Michigan definitely had two of the best open field tackling DBs in the country this year in Sainristil and Rod Moore. I can't count the number of times I've seen Moore come up and completely blow up a play that looked like a big gain because he made a terrific tackle. Also, just compare Michigan's tackling to Bama's terrible tackling on Corum's OT TD in the Rose Bowl. Blake shook off half a dozen bad attempts; if Bama even tackles half as well as Michigan on that play Corum doesn't even sniff the Endzone.
The best part is Day and Franklin and Schiano all were telling reporters Michigan was going to lose - both to Alabama and then to Washington - Bahahahaaaaa!
That's an unbelievable statistic. Only an average of 3 penalties/ game and 1 turnover every 3rd game! WOW... talk about disciplined football!! 😲 NO ONE can doubt Jim Harbaugh now as one of the greatest college football coaches of all time in what he's done for Michigan in the last 3 years to turn this team around to one of the best Michigan teams EVER!
I need the job of “prognosticator”. What else can you do and be wrong most of the time and yet still be considered an “expert”? He picked against Michigan much of the end of the season and yet here he still is.
Jim Harbaugh as Atlanta Falcons Makes More Since then anything. He isn't going to Seattle or Carolina & Chargers are in salary cap hell. He can do more in Atlanta now.
Guarantee people in here yelling cheaters have cheated once in their life. Also guarantee no one really cares about sign stealing it’s just Michigan haters using it for their hate narrative
Even assuming a rule was broken, and that is far from clear, as Joel Klatt said early on, the people who know the least about football are the one who are bloviating about "cheating."
When you think of an all time villain, you think of the Joker, Scarface, Trump, you can now put Jim Harbaugh right up there. Never been more proud in my life
Rich with blinders on once again. So his counter that UM didn't cheat is b/c Stroud/OSU scored on the play? That part does not matter - the point is they tried to cheat and gain an advantage. It's not about the outcome of any particular plays. The wrongdoing here is regarding the lack of integrity/fair play on the field.
I don't think michigan is getting it's due as a great football team because of the B.S. charges they faced all season - antiquated rules that shouldn't even be on the books anymore - they gained no advantage from the moron stealing signs
Correct. The infraction was NOT stealing signs. It was "scouting in person" a rule that was put in place in 1994, allegedly to reduce costs for smaller schools by eliminating associated scouting travel costs. You can steal signs from watching videos, and in real-time while you're playing the team.
Hilarious! Come up with excuses as to why it’s ok for your team to cheat. Had this not happened for two years they never would’ve won the title. NCAA is going to strip all games for the last 3 years, as they should.
People going with that kind of simplistic nonsense is beyond mind-boggling. Maybe you can comment on OSU offering Maryland's practice videos to SMU? How about, OSU players getting unauthorized access to other team's practice videos? That sounds like cheating too...doesn't it? BTW -the infraction is "scouting in person" NOT "stealing signs."
@@buckhorncortez LOL, or how about Maurice Clarett saying he made more money playing for OSU than he did as a semi-pro? They've been using impermissible benefits to gain a competitive advantage for decades now and they want to get sanctimonious about "rules". About time the buckeyes stop handing down life lessons to all us sinners and own the very legitimate beatdowns they've been handed the last 3 seasons.
The NCAA has a vested financial interest in promoting dynastic programs. A slap on the wrist for a favored coach and a favored school. A three game suspension for Harbaugh was a joke. Everybody knows it. The real prize was allowing the team to play in the title game. I would say that the NCAA and the University of Michigan should be ashamed of themselves, but I am not sure they are capable of mustering up that emotion.
Interesting that the NCAA never publicizes the other schools they're investigating like OSU...only Michigan gets immediate NCAA release of information. A lot of coincidences...now...I don't believe that correlation is causation. But...Harbaugh speaks out about players sharing in the money generated. That takes money away from the NCAA. NCAA issued a suspension while Harbaugh was on an airplane, could not respond, and conveniently...the school couldn't either because the courts were closed. Just amazing how a series of events could simply align like that to NCAA benefit. With that kind of luck, the NCAA should be buying PowerBall tickets...
You sound like you know absolutely nothing about college football or the infraction level of what Michigan is being accused of. Haters like you going to be crying in a corner when the NCAA doesn’t take the championship from us.
Blatant cheating. Hilarious. Tell me how cell phone video taken from across the width of a football stadium can possibly provide detailed information? If you want to steal signs, you can do that by watching game videos and in real-time while you're playing the team. Whining is for losers...thanks for self-identifying. BTW - any comments on OSU cheating? They're under investigation too...
check out the part I wrote about rationalizing and defending. Not your fault, winning can make people lose the ability to know right from wrong. @@buckhorncortez
I am 1000% sure you have no clue regarding the elements of the rule that is claimed to have potentially been violated and exactly how it would have been violated.
