I’m a Texas fan and I agree! I don’t want it to be a penalty and don’t care when people do it

I think people have the wrong question regarding OU’s OL. It’s not how bad they could be it’s how good they can be. Their floor is still middle of the pack SEC and ceiling top 3. OU’s OL will have starters I believe that have started more games than alabamas and a lot of other teams in conference. We have multiple guys that were all conference, another transfer that started 6 games last year on the Joe Moore winning OL. So we are not lacking experience, production and of course it’s OU so they aren’t lacking in talent. The question then is how do they gel and come together. The narrative has made it sound like there are a bunch of scrubs that will be playing and that’s far from the truth. Plus you have a top 5 OL coach in the country coaching them. There are multiple NFL guys that will be starting on the line and how many teams in the SEC even can say that? So the concern is there, just like it is with any new OL with a lot of new faces. The DL has shown how dominate it can be against an elite defensive front. Texas had the best combo of inside guys and OU’s DL dominated them. It wasn’t close. So the concerns with Oklahoma aren’t nearly as dire as the national narrative that has been grossly exaggerated and pushed out there. If there is a question on OU’s make up then sure the OL has questions since we haven’t seen them play together but more than likely the 5 guys who will end up starting have started multiple games, multiple seasons at a high level. They just haven’t done it together. You have a guy like Tarquin who has started both at Florida and USC but will not start on OU’s line this next year. What does that tell you? It at least should tell you that there is enough talent that a guy who has started for a sec team and a USC with one of the most prolific offenses in college has good enough talent in front of him that he can’t break the starting rotation. Yet the national pundits and talking heads make it sounds like it could be a disaster and there isn’t any talent or proven production on the line and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Facts matter. It’s like UT has to replace the best combo on the DL with a first rounder yet you never hear about that or a single name that is playing behind them. If Texas was replacing those 2 guys with high end talent guess what? We would be hearing their names and we aren’t. So every team has questions and definitely OU’s OL is there’s it’s just not the concern at the level the national guys have pushed and brought to the forefront.

We need to see Napier as HC with Lagway as QB1. This will give time to bring the defense to a good spot as well. Otherwise he was just a substitute teacher
@yeolebast4665

Firing him and losing a lot of players who committed to him would be worse for immediate recruiting than losing 6 games

As a Proud Gator fan, if we go 5W-7L, Napier will be the coach next year. Next year, with a reasonable schedule, will be the real test for Napier's longevity. Go Gators.

JD, you honestly sound ridiculous making these arguments without watching any of these teams play. And this is coming from someone who listens daily. You need to watch the games and assess the teams before you can start assuming so much.

People like this dude never talk about the trash OOC record the SEC had last year. It doesn't matter what they do in reality. They are just better. If UM beats texas they would easily be better than Tennessee.
@greenwave819

maybe because over the past 30 years the SEC has won 75% of OOC games
