Absolutely awesome, both the song and the animation. To me it looks like an alien funeral, the way they look at each other before the send off, and at the end when the alien meets the sun + the song lyrics. I have to admit thats a pretty awesome way to go, say you only have a day to live, why not say goodbye to your loved ones and tour the solar system, staring at the stars, the universe, before returning to the stars which we all are made up of. "Look for the brightest star, Believe it is true, My soul is smiling at you :)"

Cicikoma Thx, at the time i commented this, no one had even touched on anything i said, figured i couldnt be the only one who got that from this music video... Thanks for comfirming that. There really is hope for this generation :) Side note for the people who think the planets or sun are small, and or the aliens are super big, They abviously dont understand perspective and exactly how big the sun & gas giants of our solar system are in compairison, Just play kerbal space program and you'll get a sense of what i mean(KSP isnt our solar systems scale but it gets the point across), though he looks super close to the Jupiter/sun hes actually very Very VERY far away from it.

he wont be burned alive in a sense. I'm guessing the capsule will get him/it close enough before the sun vaporizes it. No pain just in an instant your vapor.

Rabidwombat666 I’m guessing the pod the ET is in has shields that will protect the pod while the ET gets very close to the Sun indeed. ET gets a final induced deep sleep, and when the shields automatically collapse, the pod would be completed vapourised in milliseconds; so quick, that the nerves don’t even have a chance to register any pain. A very humane way to go. BTW, I believe most stars to be sentient beings. And why not? The ET’s soul cannot be destroyed; it becomes part of the entity that is the sun.

For the record, before I say anything else, I'm neither atheist nor religious nor agnostic, but that's not really the point. Just, really quick, if there is a god, which I'm not really arguing for or against, they cannot be eternal, because if the universe goes on forever, then it increases the probability that any afterlife which exists, any god(s), anything, will end to 100%. As such, no punishment can be eternal, nor can any reward. Regardless, this entire argument is pointless for every reason. Not only is it boring and irrelevant to argue for or against mythology(it's mythology, that's not a bad thing, just what it is, deal with it), but no one is gonna change anyone else's opinion. I'm not gonna be like "Oh, you know, I was nihilist before, but now that I've read this one internet post from some religious Creationist on RU-vid, I suddenly realize that I was wrong all along." Also, Don't try to argue "something came from nothing" is any more or less ludicrous than "there's an omniscient being who puts some people in families that are religious and some people into families that aren't, and coincidentally the majority of the people who "hear the word of God" or whatever happen to be in the former group." +33Abstractions: You have a mindset rather similar to Carl Sagan, at least I think so. Sagan was an athiest himself, but he recognized the need for people to believe in Someone or Something. He never belittled anyone's beliefs, nor did he force his beliefs or opinions on anyone else. With that being said, I think we should all agree to disagree, rejoice in the diversity of everyone's belief systyms, drop this discussion entirely (because it really doesn't belong here in the first place), and enjoy this video subject for what it is... a beautiful piece of art. 🔚

I do like your point, and I think there is a much bigger reason why we use clothing. Our bodies consists of no signals to indicate who's going to be a better mate, so they use much colorful clothing in attracting more mates. Animals, however, have bodies equipped with colorful features(also used for mate attraction.) Another reason could also be based on our intelligence and survival. Back then, we have to use clothing to keep us warm from the colds of winter and shelters us from torrid storms.

Very good but it seems odd that they launched the alien off the ship before it was dead. Unless it had some kind of incurable plague. Also wasn't sure whether it was set in the future or the past.

He's dying because of age. These aliens know he's about to die, so it is in their culture, that they send him on a last journey, in the wonderful universe, towards the stars, where we all come from. The xylophone from the song, that plays with the stars, is a symbol for his final harmony with the universe. Notice that his spirit leave him, just before the burning of the body. The burning is a symbol taken from indian/native indian tradition of burning the body. You might also notice, that the movie starts with a Circle (the spaceship) and ends with a Circle....symbolizes the circle of life.

Pavel Antonov I think this is in another solar system. I say this because we have found many potentially habitable planets. And there are at least a few more earth like planets.
