INDUSTRY LEADING 9MM SUPPRESSION
The Mod9 suppressor by CGS Group is the second iteration of their famous Kraken suppressor. The Mod9 is designed to be durable with a 17-4 stainless steel piston assembly and blast baffle. For the baffles that don't take the initial abuse, they are constructed of 7075 T6 Aluminum. This allows the Mod9 to withstand abuse without unnecessary additional weight, and allows most of the weight to be rearward on the silencer.
While the Mod9 was designed to be a top-tier 9mm suppressor, it can also suppress subsonic 300 Blackout without trouble.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
CGS hit a home run with the Mod9. It's an exceptionally quiet 9mm suppressor, and it doesn't have the added bulk you would expect from most silencers with this kind of raw decibel reduction. It is lighter than average, with the majority of the weight on the rear of the suppressor. This causes it to feel even lighter than it actually is. It's shorter than many other cans that don't sound nearly as good. While it's not modular and doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles of some other cans on the market, it's goal is to feel good on a pistol and sound even better. It accomplishes both of these goals and is a fantastic option for someone looking for an exceptionally quiet 9mm suppressor.
