It's such a relief when you get to hear that the jury was hearing the evidence and digesting it in the same manner as the rest of us. It's scary wondering if you'll get justice or not (i.e. Casey Anthony trial) and what exactly the jury is thinking when receiving all this information. What an intelligent and thoughtful group of people! Kudos!
Sadly I don't think they got Lori's sentencing right...I don't see the purpose of keeping these two alive taking away tax payer resources. These two have nothing positive to contribute to the world. Also upsetting is that they still have access to have communication with their followers and look like a martyr. Who's to say that the followers aren't as well planning on harming people in the future but if they did I wouldn't be surprised. This is a dangerous cult...
The only time he showed emotion was when people spoke well of Tammy. He's a narcissist and his whole defense was a smear campaign against Tammy, along with the badmouthing her before she died. When people said nice things about her, said she had friends, she was loved, it made him visibly angry. He shook his head, he'd fidget, turned red. To him, she was his property and he was done with her. It killed him to think she was a person independent of him and that she was loved and valued for more than just being his wife.
Chad has said he has always know his life had a first and a second part & that Tammy would die young. So instead of taking his beloved wife for a yearly checkup to make sure she stayed healthy ? No…. He knew he would be free to have a new life & new wife because he felt HE deserved it. Well he did get a second part of his life , new wife ,and even a new home, for each of the separately. 🤡🤡
“Chad had the grave ready to go, so Alex didn’t have to stay long” Very insightful! She caught things the prosecution never brought up! Very smart jury!
Wow. Impressive amount of clarity and attention to detail. Seems like she put this jigsaw puzzle of a case together very quickly. Well done, juror. Thank you for your service.
Extremely smart jurors. We’ve seen so much NONSENSE from the justice system completely slapping people on the wrist. Thank god this was taken all the way.
@@bcoull290I feel it’s not that they didn’t think she did it but they felt the prosecution didn’t prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. Also, charging her with capital murder was too high.
Could not agree more. I really felt bad for Garths friend. He was put in a difficult situation. Thank God for those who fought for justice when her own children wouldn't.
Well for accuracy , Garths workmate did not recall himself what Garth had said , his parents recalled and reminded him of what he had recalled on this conversation. If he could not recall , just how much attention could he have been paying when Garth spoke , and did he repeat it correctly to his parents ? Memories are not particularly accurate at times. I feel Garth's memories were more impressionistic, maybe subject to the strange confusing horror of it all. I don't think he lied .
💯 Anything Chad would've said in his defense would've been a lie. He had to have realized that the lies that his children told under oath didn't help him at all. Emma and Garth's testimonies helped the prosecution by providing even more evidence that Chad has complete control over the people who love him. IMO Chad knows that he only has power over the people who love and trust him so he didn't waste his time trying to manipulate the jury.
A lawyer with a YT channel believes their strategy is to appeal with the notion that they believe the law (or whatever it is) that says if you hire an attorney, you won't have access to the state attorneys. He chose to pay his attorney, and Prior's "defense" was that if Chad were to opt for the latter, then Prior would have to step down off the case. So, we'll see how it plays out if that really is their strategy. If it is, then maybe that's why Chad seemed so smug at times and didn't say anything in his defense at the end.
This story would be very embarrassing for Chad to convey to a jury and Tammy’s family. He is disgusting and vile. The poor kids and then Tammy, when she realized that her husband of 29 years was killing her. The betrayal that Tammy experienced from her own husband and some strange man suffocating her.
@@annwithaplan9766I doubt he’ll get an appeal and if he does, it won’t be on the guilt portion. Maybe the DP. Either way, he’ll never see the light of day again outside a jail cell.
I agree with this juror. It was shocking to have him sit like a statue through the trial, then remain silent when he had a chance to defend himself or explain something-- anything!
Actually, she may have caused an appeal. The law clearly states that you can’t use it against a defendant if they don’t speak on their behalf or testify. I won’t be surprised if what she said comes back as an issue

@@LifesPeachy321 every time I asked that same question, back when it happened, I was repeatedly told it was because the prosecutor over charged her. If I had been on that jury, it wouldn't have mattered to me. If he charged her with world annihilation, I still would have said "guilty". I don't understand why that made any difference to that jury. I'm still mad, too!
@@Junitunes I think that on Chad's light/dark number scale that he arbitrarily used to condemn others to death, his own number was so dark that he was the one sentenced to death. Seems fitting.
Such an impressive woman, as all the jurors I've seen speak out are. Was so understandable that they had to "vent" around the room when they first were allowed to talk, and how chathartic that was she said. I certainly get that. What is amazing to me are so many little things we thought the jury would miss... not only did they NOT miss these little things.. they saw even more. Exemplary group of individuals who took their oaths and responsibilities seriously. This is why jury system is so important to participate in. Thank you Juror #11 for your service. Thanks Justin... you have been covering since the early days and so glad jurors are interviewing with you. I did note, she said she would be following the trial in AZ!
Saying Chad was a good law abiding citizen before all this is a bit meaningless, I mean, so was Chris Watts. Prior had an impossible challenge and did what he could, Chad is where he belongs
I think if his life could be examined, a personality disorder would show up , he seemed a barely functioning fantasist , comfortable with lying and also manipulating family , Tammy to support him financially , church members/ family to provide him with money / property for his " visions of his own glory"
“I know you k!lled 3 people in the worst possible way and two were children but since you have never had a parking ticket we are gunna let you off the hook” 😂😂😂
@@samporter2146he DEF a narcissist but if we dig a little deeper, he has no shame or fear and that means he’s also a psych0path. Using the video of him in the cop car as a great example… he said “I’m not coming back” with zero anxiety, and he didn’t bat an eye at kids being found on his property (no shame). He also showed lack of anxiety and shame at the trial. Meanwhile narcs have DEEP shame and lots of anxiety. Lori is an exception bc she’s mentally ill too
Wait until she finds out about Joe Ryan. Oh no, honey… Lori was batsh*t crazy before Chad. You’d have to already be nuts to give that man the time of day. Let’s be real. PS: thank you for your service! ❤
Tracy, after watching the first month of the trial from home in SLC, I drove to Boise because I had to see the jury. I was concerned about all of you; I was concerned for your mental well-being and I was wondering how you could possibly make sense of all the information. After being there for a couple of days it was obvious what an amazing group you were. You stood out to me. I could see that you were understanding it all. Thank you for your service! And thank you for sharing your experiences in this interview. ❤️
JJ's grave was dug so perfectly with such squared-off corners. I've seen cases where bodies were buried in the woods. The graves tend to be raggedy and sloppy. A professional dug JJ's grave.
Thank you Justin for your coverage on this case!!! I’ve been following it since you and Nate Eaton first stated reporting on it back in 2020. Both of you have done an amazing job & the public really appreciates all your hard work!! I am glad Charles Vallow will get his justice in Arizona soon as well. Also Brandon Boudroux!
I love that she ironed, when that's all she could do, in her hotel room. Because every hotel room has an iron & ironing board and it IS relaxing to iron!! My Mom used to always hum to herself when she ironed. ❤
Fantastic interviewer and interviewee! What a horrific thing to go through. Traumatic. I hope these intelligent and dedicated jurors can find peace and healing.
It’s so satisfying to have seen the prosecutors do such a good job, based on law enforcement’s excellent work and topped off with jurors who took their job seriously and a judge was fair and impartial.
@@fridaytiedayI'm a brunette with mostly blonde in my brain when it comes to technology. It's why I won't take a life. The little part of brunette in my brain knows they can find everything in your devices and i don't know how they do it. Blondes don't have more fun in prison tho. 😅
Totally amazing coverage right from day one. Hearing from the various jurors I have so much appreciation for how they handled themselves and the case.so big thanks to them
This is one intelligent and thoughtful lady. I want to be her friend! Thank you for your service and the interview Justin. Your show soon with Lori’s trial for Charles. Time for justice for Charles.
@@MicheleFlynn-yz6ee ok, here goes. It started back in George w days, when everyone who backed him (and that wrong war) followed fix news exclusively. That's how they got away with the lies about the need for the war. Weapons of mass destruction, babies ripped from incubators, it was so insane. Fix was pushing it all. So FOX NEWS became FAUX NEWS because we knew it was all BS. Got it now?
The big joke was that Chad was naïve because his only relationship experience was Tammy. That was bullcrap, he had an affair with another woman before Lori.
Yeah, at least one. I think he was messing with that other crack pot, Julie… and then dropped her like a hot potato when he met Lori. The levels of gross for this man is endless. 🤢
@@vonniemichelle3670yes for sure I think he was messing with Julie Rowe as well which explains why Julie didn’t like Lori at the beginning…Julie Rowe was another person saying that the kids were safe as well & that she knew where the kids were 🙃
Thank you, Juror #11, and all your jury team! We trust your judgment! Edit: perhaps his last defiant act was not speaking as if to diminish Hon Judge power in the courtoom. I think judge Boyce read him right - defiant!
I am so impressed with the jurors in both Chad and Lori's trials. I have followed since Hawaii and juror #11 is really impressive in how she is breaking down all the crazy information ⚖️
Chad never held a high position in the church. He was an executive secretary, which is the jackpot if you want to see how the sausage is made, but he was never a bishop, which isn't all that high. I think this was part of his frustration. Having visions allows you to end run around the hierarchy, unless you take it too far.
This causes a great many hurt feelings as usually the same 10 to 12 people get higher callings and they just switch out. It is the same in the women’s organizations. Also money plays a huge part. If you are wealthy you will get a high calling and so will your wife. So normal middle of the road people are overlooked no matter how talented or spiritual they are.
I just can't imagine being on this jury. Hats off to all of them. Very long, emotionally draining trial. I pray they can get past all the horrible things they have seen and heard
My ex didn't believe in divorce - had a secret life for 8 yrs. My late husband also cheated on the down low. I never caught him but I stayed because we. Built a great life & I was set up by him to collect his SS every month before he passed. Ive been a widow for 4 yrs - a life sentence deprived!
No one said that. He didn’t WANT a divorce. He knew he COULD get one but just didn’t want to because 1) it’s frowned upon and he wanted to appear righteous 🙄, and 2) death= pay day.
I'm sure Chad had some weird pseudo-religious reason for staying silent. Personally I hope he never speaks again. Let him fade into oblivion where he belongs.
If Chad and Lori were so consumed with the 144k why leave Rexburg and live in Hawaii . I call BS on all the religious stuff and this was about MONEY POWER AND SEX !
It’s a really confusing ordeal because Chad had been preaching about this nonsense for YEARS before lori came along. I think he had every intention of building a commune and being a cult leader in Rexburg before lori threw a wrench in that plan. lori wasn’t about to live in THAT little town or his uggly house. She convinced him to target Hawaii for their cult instead. Turns out there’s a decent LDS population there too!
@@kateashby3066 I guess we all need to thank Kay for getting the ball rolling and finding these kids and putting these serial killers where they belong. I often wonder if Emma will take over since she’s brainwashed as they get. Great point about Lori and Hawaii.
Thank you so much for this interview. You and the other jurors had so many things to consider and so many heartstrings that I’m sure were pulled one way or another. Thank you so much for your service so that this excuse for a man will never hurt anyone else. Thank you also for your families that were without you so much during this time. God bless you.
Chad was most definitely physically involved in the brutal murder, mutilation, and burning of Tylee's body. Maybe not JJ's. It would take far too long for just one person to carry this out. His text to Tammy was very revealing of his involvement.
Yes. He smiled during closing each time what was done to Tylee’s body was mentioned. It was like he was reliving this and was proud of it. Also, his text to Tammy about the raccoon, burning limbs, etc. put him right there at the scene. He hated Tylee because she disliked him. Her uncle Alex was just an executioner and would have probably just have disposed of her body the same way he did J.J.s. Also Chad mentioned “turning up the pain”.
What happened to JJ when Chad carried him upstairs and came down later red-faced and without JJ? Melanie Gibbs asked Chad what happened -cos he had scratches on his neck and red faced. Chad reportedly said it was Because JJ had inflicted the scratches on him. That was the last time JJ was seen standing on his feet active and talking. It's possible when Alex carried what appeared to be a sleeping JJ home late that night, it may have been pretentiously set up to appear JJ was still Alive.
It doesn’t matter. If the state can’t prove her intent then she won’t be prosecuted since perjury is 100% about intent and not giving accurate testimony. We need to leave it be- we may not like the kids that testified but they’ve been through h3ll for the past 5 years because their father is a psych0path and k!lled their mom and then brainwashed them to boot. Time to let it go and hope they all come to their senses and heal with time.
