Her response to Chad actually triggered me. Literally the worst thing you could say to an abuse victim, let alone someone trying to help your children. It shows how little she actually cares about them and about people in general.

I absolutely agree Bonnie should not have been vlogging at a funeral. I did catch on fairly quickly that her aunt was mentally handicapped. The way she was describing her and their interactions reminded me a lot of my husband’s aunt.

Her aunt was mentally and developmentally delayed, and they exploited the hell out of her too. she was never able to live on her own. I forget exactly what condition she had but I remember them saying that she was on a child level.

Chad didn’t attack her for putting duct tape and starving the kid. That is what Ruby arrested for. Chad only spoke to her about her content as it mirrored his mom’s content of himself. No parent wants to be publicly told they are doing a bad job. The reaction would be tears, aggression toward the person making the complaint. That would be my reaction. Basically the mom is a business and all commenters including Chad are customers. What business lashes out at a customer for making a comment about product or customer service? She could have let it be. Blocked him. The kid will have nothing to do with her in adulthood. I don’t understand how a person can film in a doctors office and publish the content without permission from the facility. A tv show can’t. Maybe if it’s just the two of them and no medical people present? It’s really more so they don’t capture anything that could lead to a lawsuit. Or capture something could violate the privacy of another. Not for noble reasons or anything.

To address the cheery disposition around her death and the funeral, it’s an LDS/Mormon thing. Because they believe that they are sealed to their family in heaven for time and all eternity, its viewed as a privilege and the family should be excited for the departeds “next step.” Of course it looks weird to all of us who are not Mormon and seems distasteful and bizarre, but it really is a “big day” for them. I’m not making excuses for the vloging and the Chad stuff. Of course it’s weird and not normal. I just wanted to throw a little context.

For those who do not know....Aunt Linda was exploited by every member of this family. Her brother said in a video that she has the mental capacity of a five year old. She was never able to give informed consent. She was used as content and clickbait by all of them.

I have never ever heard of anyone taking pictures at a burial or funeral let alone recording it...

My own experience with mormon funerals: My dad passed away when I was 12 (I was still a mormon at that point) we had a small service at the church with just our family and very close friends. I remember our bishop at the time coming up to me at church the next sunday and saying something along the lines of "you've had the funeral, now you need to stop grieving and just remember that heavenly father needed him in heaven for something important, and you should be happy that he (my dad) got that opportunity." Who says that to a child who's dad just died? What could possibly be more important than being there for his kids? That was the first time I seriously considered leaving the church. Years later I'm still working through the grief I wasn't allowed to experience in the church. Overall the way mormons deal with grief is very weird and can cause a lot of harm in my experience.

I have been watching the families for years. I unsubscribed to 8 Passengers because Ruby was horrible to the kids. Kids shouldnt be sleeping on a bathroom floor when sick. Or their beds taken off them. I watch all the rest of the family. Ruby disassociated from the family. Her fault not theirs. Bonnie was doing what Linda wanted and its sweet. I flet privileged to watch some of the funeral. I remember Linda trying the dress on years ago. I cried when I heard she died. She wanted to go home to her parents. I am amazed she held off for Chad and Jennifer to come home. I love this family.
