It feels like Chad feels right at home with the Highland Games. Hope to see more training footage specific to it and more competition!

This is great, being Scottish I approve and it's nice to see you enjoying more athletic endevours! If you decide to train for it, footage would be amazing.

Why do I feel like this is/could be your element, Mr. Smith? Maybe it's because you looked like you were really happy and like you were enjoying what you were doing. That smile though...

Thanks. It was fun for sure. A couple powerlifting goals to chase this fall but this certainly won't be my last Highland Games.

Pretty awesome! I'm not super familiar with highland games, but looked good for someone who kinda sorta trained a little before :)

How heavy was that stone? I estimate it for 5,3 Kilogramm. Damn even than it was an incredible performance, if we consider the lack of shape.

How do you enter the games and do they have different sections as far as beginner, novice and pro? I just moved to TX and was really wanting to enter in the games for the first time. Any tips too?

I knew of your throwing background and was hoping you would give it a try! Nice work for first games and no real practice!
@KaokashinPlays

what will you change or focus on when you do this again?
@JuggernautTrainingSystems
@JuggernautTrainingSystems 8 лет назад
Mostly just actually practicing haha. I travelled 3 of 4 weekends prior to this event so it really limited my opportunities to get out with a group that has all the implements and train. With 4-6 practice sessions I'm sure I'll be able to add the 2nd turn on the weights for distance and that'll add several feet and help get me in the mix with the higher ranked guys. They're competing in this stuff 20-30x per year and I'd done most of these events 0-2x in my life.

+Juggernaut Training Systems still seemed very cool, would you say this was fun and might be worthwhile for other powerlifters to branch into?

Very fun. Much more relaxed environment than any powerlifting meet I've done.

It would be fun. It would also take me several months to be able to get a clean to rack on my shoulders so we will see.

Ugh. The 56 for distance is a bitch. And the caber: first time you work your way down, just before you try the pick, feels like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.
