You handle the frustrating bits much better than me. Kudos to you for that. It’s looking good! You seem to have found some good and dependable tile guys!

The diesels do make good motors for hauling. The Still photos helped a little bit with the color. Liked the Citi Hardware part of the video. Pretty cool. Thanks for posting, Wilma and Greg...Jim

I'm impressed that your little 1/2 ton Mitsu can haul a full ton! Most full-sized American pickups start squatting at 1,000 pounds! Glad you were able to find the grout! Just in time 👍 The project is really coming along nicely, Greg!
@buildingthephilippines
@buildingthephilippines Месяц назад
@jerrymarshall2728 hey Jerry, back during the build I put 2600 lbs on that truck. Handled surprisingly well. Moving forward just 2000 lbs max.
@lmcc0072
@lmcc0072 Месяц назад
Trucks in the Philippines seem to have somewhat stiff suspension compared to trucks in the U.S. I guess some trucks in the states are now geared more towards comfort and less towards payload.
@jerrymarshall2728
@jerrymarshall2728 Месяц назад
@@buildingthephilippines sorry about calling your Isuzu a Mitsu 😲😂🤣 The diesel definitely helps, I'm sure?
@jerrymarshall2728
@jerrymarshall2728 Месяц назад
@@lmcc0072 unless you get a heavy duty. My 2500HD Chevy was a brute, when it came to pulling and hauling. That's why the 'big 3' makes the heavier duty trucks. Some manufacturers still want to give a more comfortable ride, and it shows with their hauling capacities. But one still believes that putting more leaf springs under will do the job, at the expense of comfort.

It's amazing how much better that tile is making your patio look. I mean, it didn't look bad at all before, but the tile is a huge improvement. Good idea to get the gritty stuff too, especially joining the pool. By the way, what are you using to record? If it's just your phone, it's doing a great job. Take care
@buildingthephilippines

I use a Samsung phone. Tile always makes an area nicer. Can't wait for it to be completed.

When you build a house in Philippines suppose to be impacted with a lots of rocks and soil under it inside the concrete over around it to prevent flooding from heavy rains. Not putiing more tiles to it. Lack of building plan codes for safely...not good, and your neighbor next door looks like their house is elevated up the knee and all that water from roof from heavy rains will gets to your property !
@buildingthephilippines
@buildingthephilippines Месяц назад
Not understanding your first point. Neighbors will have gutters and a concrete drain leading their water down their property. So you're incorrect on your second point.

I had a dodge diesel and absolutely loved it. I pulled a 36-foot 5th wheel with no problems at all. Didn't even feel like I was towing anything, and I traveled all over the US. I lived in my 5th wheel for over 10 years while I traveled the states. I only sold the truck and 5th wheel when I decided to buy a house and retire from the gypsy in me. I still miss that truck to this day. So, cherish your truck, they last forever and as long as you take good care of them, they'll take care of you.

It’s nice to have a truck no matter where you’re living. My girlfriend bought her dad a Hilux last year and he gets a lot of use out of it. We’re going to use it when we eventually move there as well. My girlfriend already has several projects lined up for us so we’ll be retired, but working harder in retirement than when we were working 😂.

Never heard of Welcon? I have seen a hardware store in Leyte named Wilcon. We have had pretty good luck with Citi Hardware.
@AndiamoPhilippines
@AndiamoPhilippines Месяц назад
@@buildingthephilippines Welcon is in South Cebu near Talisay and it is almost the size of a Home Depot. Thousands of tiles and the quality is far greater than is available here. We have a shipping company that is bringing us 5 tons (literally) of materials here for 40,000 pesos. The homes we are building are higher end the materials we are using will reflect that. My partner and I actually saw you at Citi hardware a few days ago. We own the black and white schnauzer Romeo that was in the store with us. He is actually my icon overlooking the job site. We are building 12 homes in Zamboanguita. We have the first 2 (sold) coming out of the ground now. When you get less busy you should come take a look.

Well, that’s the fastest I’ve ever clicked😝44seconds! Good job on the tile job today, despite rain you accomplished a LOT in my book. Plus driving to get more ‘goods’ then waiting after a long day-whew 😮for people to get your order. However I will admit I was drooling 🤤 over the ‘shiny’ tiles because they’re gorgeous 😱😁omGAWD I exclaimed several times! You are blessed to have wonderful designs we don’t have here. Even when not enough and waiting months to receive an order, seems to me you consistently have a ‘fallback’. Note to self-have 2nd and 3rd fallback😁🤔🦩💨🙏🏻❤️ps hope you get a chuckle at least with my silly 🙃
