Day six sees some serious wind with some excellent brook trout fishing. The fishing was very tough as they were not eating very well and non aggressive but we were able to get a great bite going.
Ended up being a brook trout slugfest. Wind got downright nasty by the end of the day. Fished from before sunup until after sundown.

Making the best of the weather today! Man what a great series. Awesome to see the whole game of fishing! The good the bad and sharing the tips. Man I appreciates all these videos. Looks like a great day. I noticed one of the brook trout you kept had a clipped adipose fin. I know biologists have been clipping fins in those lakes as part of study to better understand the native brook trout population.

Joe I noticed you kick off the mound your auger made. I am curious why? I always leave mine and clean the hole out and leave the mound. It creates a wind break and reduces hole freeze up. Just curious why you kick it off?
