I have the black 19 in lambskin. I specifically wanted it in lambskin and I think the goatskin looks a bit more plasticy for some reason. I’ve had since they launched the lambskin version and I absolutely adore it. No issues whatsoever!

Omg I was very close to keeping both but then thought it would be nuts of me. I ended up selling the lambskin one to a buyer at a discounted price and she is thrilled! I'm glad it went to a good home!

Loved this video. I did the opposite. I initially bought the 19 in goatskin because that’s what they had at the time. I didn’t have a chance to see or feel the lambskin. Then, of course, it came out in lambskin again 😑 and I end up LOVING the look and feel of lambskin so much better. So I sold the goatskin in the smaller size and not only did I opt for the lambskin version, I also purchased it in the next size up. I am so happy now 🥰

I have the small 19 in black in goatskin as well and I’m so glad that I got it over the lambskin. I prefer the shiny coating on the goatskin.

I prefer the Goatskin too it feels more sturdy and I like the more textured and shiny look. Lambskin looks a bit dull. I often scratch my bag and can easily buff them out!

Thank you so much for this video! I loved the look of the Goatskin as well, and because of your video I just purchased a preloved 19 in Black Goatskin! I am confident after watching your comparison and listening to your thoughts, that I have made the right decision. Can you tell me how Goatskin handles rain? This will be my first...and while I avoid rain when possible, my lambskin and caviar items have done well. Thanks again for the great review! Hope you are happy with the New 19!

I’m glad you found the video helpful! So, like you, I avoid subjecting this bag to a downpour lol. But I’ve wore it mostly in the winter when there is some drizzling rain or snow and it’s done very well. I. Just wipe it dry once I’m inside.

I have the small Chanel 19 lambskin in beige and the lambskin is so durable compared to my others. I don’t think you could go wrong with either. I think it’s just preference 🥰

Hi, I have the goatskin. The goatskin feels thicker and has a bit of a feeling that it is coated. The lambskin feels softer.

I think I’m missing the main reason she wanted it in goatskin to begin with, anyone know? but reason she kept the goatskin is the shiny look? As in all they wear/tear the same and eventually both will sag.

Hi Loli, yes so they will both eventually sag. You can deter that with using the base shaper and insert to an extent. But yes, I like the shiny look.

Yeah, it's inevitable with this style. The maxi 19 sounds really nice! I mean, I think we have to embrace that it's not a structured bag. Once we get past that, then you can enjoy the bag. I use the insert and base shaper for that reason because it adds some structure. But yeah, even the small will sag once you load it up and use it.
