Everyone talking about whether the bag is fake or authentic. What stands out to me is that this gentleman not ok only made a perfect, exquisite job, but he nailed this to the level of matching the original length and position of the stitches on the close up. The level of precision and care to do that is out of chart 🙃 I'm overwhelmed by all the detail he put in this. Absolutely amazing.
honestly who cares about whether the bag is still authentic or not after its being customized. Its HER bag and come on she can do WHATEVER she likes to it. NO permission needed from anyone
Until you work in the leather craft you wouldn’t understand about the glue and materials that are used to give a bag it’s shape especially when dealing with chromium tanned leather in a very lightweight oz. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video showing the construction if the bag. I wish more people would show videos of the construction/deconstruction of a bag to help others learn who are in the craft.
It may have been mentioned previously, I’m not sure, but your attention to detail even with the pre existing stitch holes (I’m still fine tuning my lingo and apologize if that’s incorrectly) was quality. Thank you for sharing!!!
Having a background in in-house production for multiple London designers, this was like watching porn. I have so much respect for people who are craftsman. Great job!
He said in a reply to a comment doing this job he charged $1,900. So there’s no way this is a fake, no one buy a fake and do this job. Welcome to reality folks. These bags are mass produced, there are no craftsmen in Paris making them. You’re just buying a name.

Wow what a stunner. It’s amazing how much a Chanel bag costs by adding that piece it looks better than What Chanel made. I had a vintage Chanel patchwork bag I am having the chain extended so I can use it crossbody and having the bag cleaned along with adding pigments to the rubbed marks so I can’t wait to get it back. I highly recommend your channel on my Lv & More channel as you do outstanding work.

Sometimes less is more. Loke these short videos mixed in as well. Takes nerves of steel to start slicing up a Channel bag for sure. Not surprised of confidence in skills. Looks much better with alligator. Nice work as always!
Thumbs up for a great craftsmen ! As a bag maker myself i truly admire the job. Who has ever attached a flap to underflap especially if there are holes on each side will understand. What surprises me is how people try to comment when they dont know anything. Chanel makes bags in Italy, but your iPhone that you love so much is made is China and is not worth more than 200 in production. Why you complain ?
That is pretty, but who would do that do their CHANEL handbag? Not me! Maybe this guy should work for CHANEL. BTW, those bags aren't worth the money we pay for them.

Yes but it's not a perfect world and vinyl/pleather takes hundreds of years to break down. I have reconciled previously vegan ideas with the understanding that we're not on this world forever and if you give an animal a good life, when the time comes for it to die it's not all bad because of reincarnation. If the animal can ascend to a higher life form then it's just a stage. Sometimes we overcomplicate things, I don't have imitation leather bags. I don't like the sweating from vinyl nor the way manmade materials age they're a nightmare basically. So I have mostly vintage leather bags and contain my shopping impulses to concentrate on fixing, renovating and maintaining the bags and shoes I do have. Hope this helps and JIMO.

Wow! Great job, thank you for sharing this. I always wanted to know how a Chanel bag is made. I am suprised how cheap it looks inside. They take care of perfection outside - but inside... For the price these bags are sold I would have expected something better. The production costs must be about 1 % from the retail price. What a massive profit margin. And the prices go up, up, up all the time. Just for the so called "snob effect". I was considering if I should buy a Chanel bag but now I have my doubts. Everybody boils with water I guess ;).
What do you mean cheap? Because of the glue? Most bags on the market use glue before stitching. And most people don't seem to know what cheaply made looks like either.

This is more than chanel lol.. nowadays chanel quality is bad a lot of people said the leather chipped off just a few months of wear, stitching is bad, chain twisted, leather defect etc! I'm always into chanel but buying with a always increasing price and not as high quality it was doubts me! Great work anyway!
Melinda Chanel bags are finest quality, check out the production. The issue is that a lot of people buy their bags in lambskin, which is very fragile, so obviously, as they’re not careful enough, there are things happening. Check out Sophie Shohet on RU-vid, she explains very well how she keeps her Chanel bags at quality.
