Chanel No. 5 L'Eau Review | No. 5 L'Eau by Chanel Review
This is my Chanel No. 5 L'Eau Review, No. 5 L'Eau by Chanel Review. Even though Chanel No. 5 L'Eau is targeted to the ladies I felt it was unisex enough for us men especially us men that love fragrance and don't find fragrances with a sex. So I loved Chanel No. 5 L'Eau enough to buy a bottle. I shot the first impressions video portion of this video last October in 2016 but never aired it. So finally I've been wearing it enough I had to shoot a follow up and air the two videos together in one video. I've worn enough of Chanel No. 5 L'Eau that I can come to the conclusion that even though I find this pretty unisex, Chanel No. 5 L'Eau could still come off pretty feminine even though it's got all the citruses in it. In the end do test Chanel No. 5 L'Eau yourself to see if you can pull it off some might some might not. It's light, fresh and airy so spray away on your body and on your clothes so the scent goes with you longer.

I'm a man & I love & wear Chanel no.22,Bois Des iles,Beige,Jersey,Coromandel,Sycomore,Cuir de Russie, as well as Egoiste & Allure edition Blanche,I understand if some are too feminine for some men but I'm more then Comfortable wearing them all,also I would wear Chanel no 5 without a care but I love no.22 more.

I have No 5 Parfum, EDT, EDP, Eau Premiere, and L'eau. The most unisex and easiest to wear (as a male) for me is the EDT, followed by Eau Premiere. The sandalwood in these comes out as a very prominent note on my skin. They are also warmer, the EDT because of a subtle spice and Eau Premiere because of a warm/clean vanilla musk. The Parfum and EDP are possibly more interesting in their developments, but more "perfumey". I still love them though. L'eau comes across as very pretty/girly making it the most uncomfortable of the bunch for me.

I'm a fan of scents that won't offend and I feel like your review puts things No. 5 in that category. I never smelled that original so this would be new for me. My favorite Chanel is Allure Homme Sport. New Hampshire.

This one was love at first sniff for me. I bought it for my collection hoping women visiting my collection would try it, but they never do. They think they know it already. I'm with you. It skews a bit feminine, and some days that would keep me from wearing it and others it wouldn't. I do not get a dated vibe from this at all though. I'm tempted to layer this with Profumum Roma's Acqua Viva, which is lemony masculine.

One thing I've learned in my fragrance journey is how much I adore aldehydes. And the bloody house of Chanel despite their formula changes, price hikes, and limited availability. Eau Premiere is my fave so far with several of Les Exclusifs in the running. I've sampled No 5 L'eau once but found it didn't last long. Maybe I need to spray more of it. Canuck subbie here. Thanks. You look a bit tired in this video. Maybe some nap time? Works for me☺️

I honestly really enjoy No.5 edp, but this one to me is sweet and bright and actually more fem to my nose. I would probably wear No.5 if it wasn't so familiar to others. But I may end up buying it as it is a wonderful creation. This summer version gets too far away from the original and it's magic. But I would would recommend it as a gateway fragrance to it's classy predecessor. Great review Sebastian!

I'm a man.I live in Poland. I'm 27 and you could probably call me androgynous in today world.I am mistaken to be a woman daily.I wear Chanel No 5 edp often and for me this is a perfect fragrance for these low key days when I'm not shaved, I've got a second day hair and I wear denim shirt or jumper.For me this is the quintessence of No 5 and many Chanel fragrances.I had a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle which didn't steal my heart.I love Coco edp the most....actually Coco and No 5 would be my favourite that I know from the brand.I also tried many versions from the No 5 line.Edt smells to me much more old-fashioned than edp and Eau Premiere is my favourite flanker that I consider buying full size.I could talk a lot about No 5,because I think I got to know it quite well now.I would challenge you to layer it with Gucci Guilty Absolute pour homme - they are a perfect match.I love them separately and I love them together. Xo

I just sprayed some of my wifes L'Eau on my arm and I definitely find it to be a feminine fragrance that to me isn't the least bit unisex. No, I would not wear it. My all time favorite Chanel is Egoiste Cologne Concentree. I also really like Egoiste, Egoiste Platinum, Antaeus and Pour Monsieur.

I think a guy could wear it, not far from prada l'homme. Citrus at the top and cedar at the bottom. Sure it gets floral in the middle but its pleasant and tollerable. I wish my wife liked it, I guess more for me.

For some reason I think the original No 5 is more musculine/unisex than Leau. Leau smells nice enough.. but feels like the heart and soul had been taken out.. it's definitely for the younger market. I love the parfum version of No5 and the number 22(L E collection ).. I don't know why chanel went down the path of introducing another N5 flanker, Eau premiere was sufficient to placate the masses. We need something bold and daring CHANEL!!

Chanel Allure Sport Extreme is probably my favorite of the bunch. I have Bleu de Chanel though I've gotten pretty sick of the sent. It's on practically everyone and I sprayed it for thousands of people when I worked at Macys. I'd love to try this though. Sounds light and not cloying like I found BdC to be! New York

I love the original no 5 but my mom has always worn it and so I have that association. The last Chanel I really loved marketed for women was Chance eau Fraiche. I'm wondering if this might be in the same vein? I'd love to try it out, and if I don't like it I'm sure my mom would!

As a woman I csn't comment from the masculine viewpoint. I find it a touch too baby powderish although I adore citrus and I think it is also beautiful. The clear bottle and juice is something I love about it. I think Eau Première is underrated and should have more attention.

I initially dismissed No 5 L'Eau. Perhaps it was the clear juice in the bottle-what is this? Flowery smelling water? But I snagged a decant, and, huh? I liked it! I mean, it will never replace the original, and is not meant to. But is a worthy flanker to my nose. I get a lighter noseful of the essential No 5 DNA (light aldehydes, florals, citrus and a pleasant, light musk) without the profound punch of the original. Don't get me wrong, I dig the original, the more civety the better. But L'Eau is a reasonable, contemporary alternative for today's younger generation. Even lovers of the original could find a lot to like. Just realize it is a different, yet similar, animal all together meant for a different fragrant role. And yes, men can pull it off. Nice for summer evenings, even work. Longevity isn't too bad on me. So, would love to win a decant. Fave Chanels? No 19 and Coco Mademoiselle for sure. The Les Exclusifs Eau de Cologne, Antaeus, Edition Blanche. And I have really grown to appreciate Boy as work scent. Here in Seattle. Great review, mahalo!

I love the citrus aspect to this iconic perfume I would love to try it I used to wear the 2010 update of Chanel I can't remember the name but it was great I was able to pull it off. Would love a sample I live in Los Angeles...by the way come to scent bar one day it's my second home!

Inner packaging looks like an ice cream sandwich at 2:34! Have tried it and have samples, very nice. I think the ylang ylang stands out to me, the jasmine, musk, cedar, blended citrus. I'm anosmic to aldehydes so I don't perceive that note as such. A more abstract take on #5. Very contemporary and sophisticated. Yes, feminine, but wear what you like, as usual!

As a man, I'd be a lot more comfortable wearing coco noir or no 19. Not that the no 5 line is froufrou it anything, it's just the scent is so iconic and recognizable, it's impossible to pretend you're wearing something else. Even most other men in my country recognize it as no 5.

I'd love to win a sample. I find the original Chanel No. 9 to "mature" for me. This one sounds lighter and younger. I like the notes of neroli and orange blossom. I always gravitate to fragrances with those notes because it gives a perfume a cleaner, soapier feel to it. I live in the U.S.

Last spring I bought chance Eau fraiche which is my spring and summer freshie,and I got a sample of channel 5 l'eau,the opening it's a little bit feminine cus the aldehydes but 15 min later it turns out pretty unisex to me, I think It'll be my next freshie for spring 2018 🤗 #California
