Its Day 33 of my FRAGRANCE365 project and today's scent of the day is Chanel Platinum Egoiste.
This is a timeless fresh and invigorating fragrance that was launched in 1993. It remains one of my all time favourite scents due to it's versatile and mass appealing qualities.

I’m so glad you were kind to this fragrance Paul. I was recently gifted a test bottle from my local retailer (for my loyal patronage 🤣 ) and as soon as I smelled it , it brought me right back to 1994 when I was 17 and too young to get into nightclubs and every guy who walked past me arguing with the bouncers must have been wearing it. As soon as my local opens again I will be wearing it out🍺🍺 cheers mate

I just bought a bottle. I own BDC edt and have smelled most of Chanel in the last week and Platinum Egoiste is the best for me, good luck!

This video is a bit old so I'm hoping you'll see this comment/question. By any chance have you tried Acqua di Parma Colonia Futura? If yes then I'd really love to hear your assessment of the fragrance. If not then I highly recommend it. It's nothing like Chanel platinum egoíste but it's in the same vein of this style of fragrance. If your curious give it a go, you WILL NOT be disappointed! Cheers!

Is this the 2020 version? Just got a bottle and it smells incredible but the longevity is not so great only get about 4-5 hours

Give ur bottle a few months to open up and the fragrance will bloom.

That's about what im getting too. I've had a bottle every year for the last 4 years or so. It sort of becomes a skin scent after 4-5 hours, im lucky to get that depending on the weather. If you go a little heavy on sprays you might get more performance but make sure you're not gonna be around anyone right after you douse yourself in it, lol. Chanel is pretty famous for bad reformulations that result in a lesser performing scent.

@Shawn S a strange update to my original comment- I bought a new bottle in October of this last year and the performance is absolutely beastly. It lasts all day and I'm catching whiffs. I dont know if I got really lucky or my nose reset itself but this stuff has been a tank. However, historically this stuff blooms way better in cold weather for me. Spring and fall, but also winter. This scent just doesn't do it in the summer for me. It goes straight to the base notes and smells like wet grass. In colder weather like now I'm definitely catching more of those nice floral/lavender notes... in a manly way lol

@@magsfrags2020 no I meant the other one. It goes by the name Chanel Egoiste not PLATINUM Egoiste. Came earlier than PE. Same bottle design with black cap

@@Ahmad-sd2hk The two are night and day. Egoiste I can best describe it as a cinnamon champagne, that's what it smells like in layman's terms. Its definitely in a league of its own. Egoiste platinum as Mag described is more of a "fresh metallic" scent that kinda smells like a&f fierce or mount blanc.
