I dare say, that I count myself very fortunate to be one of many of your comforted and inspired "frogs" on this channel! A wonderful analogy to the shrieking chaos of a world seemingly gone mad, and the beautiful simplicity of those redemptive and restorative things called nurture, love and respect. Thank you for breathing mindfulness in me with every post you share!

Hello Colette, I love your rants 😂 But last autumn I saw one man useing a leaf-blower to blow the leaves off the sidewalk back up onto the grass verge under the gorgeous trees. Not all bad. Depends how it's used and the mind-set 💖😎

Colette, you are so funny and so relatable ... thanks again for a wonderful morning video. I'm 8 hours later here and enjoying my morning coffee while watching and listening to you. Such a good way to start my day. You inspire me to get up and off my dead hinny and get out there and get back to work. I have loads of fresh wood chips and leaves to distribute. Thank you.

In my town we have a recycle center where all the bagged leaves ( lg paper bags) and other yard "waste" are brought. They grind the leaves up, I believe, and come Spring any resident can go there to the huge mounds of it and take as much as they want, for free.

My little friend Sammy Bear better be on the mend because I will be back to Bealtaine to cuddle with him very soon. I had two little spider guests in the lodge and I loved having them keep me company. The email message you received reminded me of Findhorn, Scotland. They also had sand dunes to deal with, but the plants thrived because they were loved and cared for by those that planted them. Mother Earth is more powerful than we can possibly imagine. Give Jack and Sammy a nice big hug for me. I've been talking about Bealtaine nonstop since I got back from Ireland. I can't wait to put the video together this weekend. Blessings my friend!!

I am old enough to remember growing up in a city, Royal Oak. The fields across from where we lived once had beautiful oak trees and fields that we did eat from. Many kinds of berries, cherries, apples and strawberries. Sadly, they took down all of the beautiful oak trees and turned the fields into a modern park. All of the plants were destroyed and the little critters that once roamed there lost their homes. I am grateful that I will always have these wonderful memories of a place I spent so much time at while growing up.

I really enjoyed today's video! I found myself nodding my head, laughing, talking to Jack and Sammy Bear. I answered you several times, and if anyone happened to look in my window and see or hear me, they would have shook their head and felt sorry for the daft old lady who talks to her tablet! Thank you so much, again!

I laughed so hard at the image of you wrangling the leaf blower from his hands and then turning it on him!! I have a neighbor who thoughtlessly blows his driveway off just about EVERY morning...for 20 years! So many times similar thoughts have come to my mind hahaha!!! He rudely blows them into his neighbor's yard and under his hedge row where they thankfully return to the earth......he will run it for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour just blowing dirt off his driveway....so ridiculous!! Thanks to you again for another lovely chat in your beautiful woodland. Your chats are always inspirational and thought provoking. Blessings and healing thoughts to you, Jack and your sweet boykin Sammy Bear

A robbers dog 😂😂iv never heard of that one , I love it. Oh poor Sammy , glad he’s feeling better . My little cat had teeth problems last year and wouldn’t eat so the vet took all he’s teeth out except for 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom . He said they were in a bad way , we don’t know how old Blacky is as he found us , we think he had been living in the field for some time and wouldn’t go near any one , but now , we’ll he rules the house, has his cat flap, his own bed but he does like to come to bed with me for a cuddle . Bless him . Anyway don’t over do it , you have been working so hard . Blessings to you all xxxx

Ha. That image of sitting in the front seat of a roller coaster with your bunch of frogs. Your son has quite the imagination. I do hope Sammy bear is on the mend. Having a sore mouth/teeth can set everything off. I send him well and healthy wishes. The mist is so incredibly ethereal. The pond looks fantastic. I can imagine how labourious this was. Have a good day Colette, Jack and Sammy. Oooh. My Grandfather used dousing rods to find water and all sorts of things. Do you think you might do or say something about how one even attempts devining/dousing?

The truth you speak sits in my heart too. Blessings to Sami Bearkins. I wish home well. You say so much in your videos that I don’t always reply to each point, but you did have me laughing out loud a few times. You are wonderful! You and your whole tribe and our Mother!

My neighbors truly think that a perfect lawn studded with exactly six large trees is perfect landscaping. And me next door letting just about everything grow that wants to . . . Don't rake leaves, plant abundantly, rarely cut the bit of grass. I belong out of town as you are Colette but in my village of just over two hundred it's close to country life at least. They think I'm slightly crazy or at least a misfit.

Conny Braun. Briefly bring the leafs to a boil with water , strain and you have already and than you have dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and cleaning agents. Mother Earth has taken good care of us. Get well soon Sammy, Felix had to go to the teeth cleaning. I wish you Sammy and Jack a nice day, many hugs from Conny Braun and cat Felix from Germany.

Well, yeah but these unenlightened folk are bagging leaves so folks like us can easily take them to our yards, gardens, compost piles. Same goes for the grass mowing crazies. Mow, bag, fertilize, water, mow, bag, fertilize, water, repeat. And between the mowing the sacks of green gold await our drive by! Ha-ha. Free stuff for us right?

A beautiful video, Colette. And I can relate to the email as well. Regardless of what happens, the only response worth having is to love this Earth...to make choices based on the sacredness of all of life. The spider joining in on the video was a lovely treat. I love all of the beautiful webs of this time of year. As for leaf blowers...the epitome of the idiocy of human beings...Noise polluting, life robbing monsters. What a horribly mindless activity for a human to have to do...all of these landscape maintenance people...that is their job! A hateful job. Just think how much better their lives would be if they had a rake and made lovely piles of leaves...leaving them for children and dogs to jump in...for insects and creatures to build their homes in...that would add so much beauty to daily life. Sorry...seems I am on a ramble here....blessings!

Dear Colette, that was bone work on the pond , but it was worth it. If i had worked like this and my hands hurt,i make a heat bottle and out my hands on it. It seems wonderful to me. I see ivy in your woodland garden. You can cut the leafes in to small

Serendipity: I am listening to a book on tape, Braiding Sweetgrass. The author was telling the story today of how she dug massive amounts of algae out of her pond to make it swimmable for her daughters. Often as I read she reminds me of you. Have you read that book?
