I don't play wuwa and still play genshin but I just like watching people playing wuwa. I don't play cuz I'm not much of a gamer in the first place feeling tired of games. The game was originally made for mobile market in 2017, and you know how mobile phone were like back in the day, they are limited and cant do bunch of fancy thing like we saw today. Hoyo have been pushing that Source code that was made for mobile beyond their limit so it can work for all platform, making it limited and outdated like we see today, the only way to upgrade genshin tech is by making a new source code, which is equaly like making a new game...

i can tell you havent watched a lot of anime in your life if you think genshin characters dont look like your average anime character lol neither wuwa nor genshin comes even close to the average western cartoon (assuming thats what you are talking about), both look like the average anime character, just different artstyles/genre. genshin characters look more like the typical moe and more cute anime artstyle, for example anime from studio kyoani like k-on, hibike!, free! while wuwa is more close to a lot of newer shounen artstyles (jjk, chainsaw man etc.)

If anything, wuwa is closer to the likes of manhua and manhwa art style. More sharp and well porportioned. Genshin is anime game that thinks it looks like the anime it was adapted from. Tacky and static images with pre-animed flex bar that lets them move. Best actual anime games that looks good is grandblue fantasy. Genshin falls short with details and character porportion without a doubt even if its considered anime, but in actuality its dongua since its made by a chinese company.

I guess unity works for them, they have the resources to make new games in other engines, but they still went with unity for ZZZ, the thing is that unity is easier to run on multiple platforms. That being said, Unity doesn't excuse it, scape from tarkov, GTFO, Ferocious, oddworld;soulstorm are all made in unity but if you want something that shows what unity is capable of when it comes to third person games that resemble Genshin look for gameplay of a game called Morbid Metal, that one is a rogue lite but it has some similarities like switching characters and being in third person. I'm sure that Hoyo could do something like that but it won't be cost effective and we know how greedy they are, games that are heavily stylized aren't bad but let's be honest WuWa sells the concept enough for me to wonder, if not for Genshin, why not for HI3 part 2? ZZZ? ZZZ has upgraded textures and lightning, that is obvious but for a game that is releasing at the same time as WW and from a company with several times the budget and experience, how comes that it looks like a HSR 1.5? Hoyo has some good talent working there but someone is holding them back. Honestly Hoyoverse reigning over the Gancha market for 4 years damaged the whole genre, the players are at fault too, there's people praising the Imaginarium ffs...

​​@@Alexandr-tf8xq True. The art direction of Kuro is just really good. While Unreal engine offers a lot, most of the credit still goes to Kuro's teamwork. Their other game: Punishing gray raven, is also made on unity and the designs/body structure and overall sculpting is insanely good.

@@Michaeltheweeb I feel WuWa open world is more logical (enemies, other humans etc. attacking each other, road map etc.) and graphically way more advanced with lighning effects and details. The only advantage GI has imo is the size due to the fact it's 5 years old, but that's it.

You know, they're going to get a new better game in a year and the same comparing will happen to wuwa People are unable to appreciate both games for the things they do right and they overlook the fact that genshin looks "worse" bc it simply has a completely different style. It's softer, cuter and more dreamy which fits the overall atmosphere and vibe of the game Although it is true that constant neglect kinda overshadows the amazing and detailed lore, good characters and fun exploration mechanics and that's how it is... the team responsible for creative choices is amazing but the rest isn't so people just forget that genshin is still (or was?) a pretty solid game. If you're not in the best shape people will start to focus on your flaws 🤷‍♀️

That's a problem I have with Genshin, they cut corners but sometimes they do some good animations that get lost behind kits like these and they refuse to introduce a game mode that let characters shine to their full extent.

@@drekhunter The thing is illusive realm can make every char fun because every char uses their whole kit and not fraction of it. Also they put much more effort into making various buffs for every char that changes their playstyle i dont see it happening in genshin ever sorry. The problem of genshin system is you have too many off field chars and no double dps comps to make combat interesting. Lets say furina even though shes insanely strong you use e q and swap her for eternity. Only way to make her viable onfield is by having her c6 which is horrendous. Or lets say zhongli his only purpose is throwing a shield with his e and swap thats it even his meatball is worthless to use. Dont get me wrong but you shouldntve expected a mode like this from genshin that barely brings anything new. I didnt somehow but i was still disappointed lmao. Imm happy tho , this was the last push for me to delete it. Biggest problem was in a game where the whole combat is around reactions and nothing else they decided to force people into using random ass teams. I feel like they dont know their own game sometimes. Anyways theres nothing we can do man it is what it is. Im so tired of saying "they couldve done this and that" but never will :(
