Promo that explained the Red Triangle usage as "Special Discretion Required" sign on british television Channel 4, aired in 1986 and recorded on Betamax tape.
No so much erotic but mostly sick and disgusting… i don’t think I jerked off over any of these films. If you found disturbed German girls roaming the streets of Berlin, shagging everyone she seen or abandoned Boys in a Brazilian home getting bummed then you must be very odd 😂
I remember the red triangle film's on C4 funny how popular these films became because of the warning sign pity C4 has gone completely on the offensive to sensitive themes .
From time to time in the late evening,Channel 4 transmits films made for the Cinema which some viewers may find a bit strong for Television. From now on as an experiment will be using this triangular warning symbol before and during films which includes explicit material. If there is one coming,You will see this triangle and the words Special Discretion Required. The triangle will stay on your screen throughout those films. After each commercial break, Special Discretion Required will come up again before the film continues. The triangle is to warn that care is required. You may then decide not to watch a film which might offend you or a member of your family. We hope that this will help you enjoy your viewing on Channel 4.
Im not saying I pinched this idea for use on my art house reviews on my channel...but; yeahhhhh I kind of pinched this idea for use on my channel xD thanks so much though for sharing this! theres surprisingly little in the way of "Red triangle" stuff on youtube...
I was about 15 at the time and missed the overtly explict film but omg some of my school friends saw it and were raving about some of the sexual scenes included i wonder which of the films it was?
These were the films shown en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_triangle_(Channel_4). I saw the film entitled Montenegro, or: Pigs and Pearls. To be honest, I fell asleep about three quarters of the way through!! I spoke to someone who saw the films and said they were very tame actually by todays standard. About 3 years after these films were shown Channel 4 ran another series of controversial films - this time all of them had been in trouble in some way with the censors.
Tonight's episode of Game of Thrones on Channel 4 is rated Adult's Only and is suitable for persons 18 years and over and is not suitable for anyone below that age. It contains graphic violence. Language and explicit sex and nudity. Special discretion is required.
