On January 13th, 2023. Officers were called to the airport in regards to a man causing a scene after being denied boarding due to his level of intoxication. The gate agents had told the man he had to leave as he no longer had a flight, however, the man refused to listen and forced his way past the gate agents and onto the the jet bridge. When officers arrived he tried to fight them and refused to leave causing a scuffle between them. He then became very irate and uncooperative and was unsure why he got arrested, even after trying to fight and force his way through the employees and police. This is footage of the events that followed.

I was seated next to a guy on an early morning flight who said he was supposed to be on the last flight out the night before. He said they denied him boarding the previous night because he was intoxicated. Apparently he took it well, asked to get rebooked on the next available flight, which was around 6am, and found a corner of the airport to sleep it off. He ended up sleeping through most of the morning flight. That is how easy this can be.

I used to see that all the time when I worked at an airport. Sometimes even saw whole families sleeping in the airport because they missed their flight but usually if it's not the passengers fault the airline will put them in a hotel room for the night, but you do have to ask because they won't always do it automatically. I once saw a celebrity miss his flight; ask if they could put him in a hotel room. They said they only do that if you're too drunk to drive. He said "I'll be back"; came back ten minutes later; drunk and they gave him a room.

Back in the mid-1980s I took a flight from New Orleans to New York and got seated next to a drunk guy. The stewardess kept serving him alcohol and peanuts. He wouldn't shut up and spewed chewed peanuts all over me the entire flight. It was the most miserable flight I ever took. I'm glad airlines are now refusing boarding to drunks.

You should watch AA meetings too.. I’m sure there’s some on RU-vid. I’m in rehab at the moment for alcohol, me personally I haven’t truly experienced any life altering consequences for my drinking, but listening to these peoples stories in AA makes you feel a lot better about yourself (sounds bad but we can’t help it lol) and also serves as a reminder that if I keep drinking I’ll go down the path they went down, and I do NOT want to do that. Rock bottom is an endless pit. True rock bottom is death. Things can always get worse with the help of addiction..

HIS attorney drafted his divorce papers 10 years ago for $500 and cannot remember his name or even the divorce. @ourblazingworld I don't know .l drank for a few decades before I gave it up .l have seen booze do different things to different people .Some people just can not handle it and they get mean and belligerent like this guy .Others like myself just get happy ,in over 30 years of drinking in clubs ect ,I never had a fight or an incident like this. But I witnessed plenty of people ,who were just fine until they poured some alcohol down their neck and it turned them in to instant assholes..pills can do it too I guess ,you just never know

As I recall, Federal Aviation Regulations prohibit an airline from boarding an obviously intoxicated passenger. They also forbid an aircrew from allowing a passenger to get wasted.

The problem is they don't realize they act like this. To them they really do think they are acting perfectly fine and most that act this way never remember it in morning. My ex husband was like that, he would say some of the meanest things but wouldn't remember them in the morning so he wouldn't understand why others were mad at him bc we weren't FUBAR the night before and could remember what he did. He would still think we should just let it go bc he was drunk but it don't work that way

It's very common for drunks to continue to ask the same questions over and over, not listening to the answers and not bothering to assimilate the information. Likely when he's released, he'll blame the airlines for his own behavior. By now, EVERYONE knows they're not going to be allowed on a flight if they're acting aggressive, crazy or if they're drunk/stoned. And yet they keep trying.
