Bodycam footage shows the chaos that erupted on the set of the movie “Rust” after Alec Baldwin’s cinematographer was fatally shot in October 2021. Baldwin can be seen asking responding officers what they need from him before taking a seat as first responders rushed to the aid of Halyna Hutchins and Joel Souza. One of the crew members can be heard telling police that “Alec Baldwin was the actor on set that pulled the trigger.”

Baldwin’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison. A judge will rule on these issues after hearing motions from the prosecution and Baldwin’s defense. Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

He actually gave Baldwin the choice of sitting in the cruiser or Baldwin's own vehicle. Baldwin stated he would remain where he was- and I didn't hear it in any form of a question. He simply stated that was his preference, even though I did not hear that as an option until the officer/deputy agreed with his choice. And that conversation didn't even take place for several minutes after arriving at Baldwin's side. NOT impressed.

To some extent you're right, but at the same time, this is a very unique situation. In a 'normal' accidental shooting, the cops have to act as if it wasn't accidental on the off chance a murder was committed. But in this case, there isn't really a dispute as to what happen or who was involved, so the cops are more interested in just getting the details versus trying to collect any and all suspects.

No matter which way you look at it.....Baldwin is guilty for negligence. EVERYTIME you handle a fire arm, you must treat it as if it was loading, even if you know it's empty. Also, whenever someone hands you a firearm, you must check the gun if it's clear or not, and in this case, if there are live rounds or blanks. For those who don't know, it is very easy to see the difference of a blank or live round. Very different shape.

@@Natalie_TrueCrimeIt should not take 30+ minutes to realize what happened. I am a hunter & you take EVERY shot with a clear mind & are always alert to any unexpected questionable or confusing result. This woman was shot in the chest - very likely dropped within seconds & a VERY bloody wound site. If movie companies (as well as 'gunfighter reenactments in many tourist towns) insist upon using actual guns, pointing weapons towards a person, or towards a crowd (as occurs in reenactments - and apparently on some movie sets) mindfulness of potential error should ALWAYS be one's main concern. If it isn't, they need a KNOWLEDGEABLE technical advisor. A reenactment in my town resulted in 2-3 injuries from a single ricocheting shot, breaking into pieces when it hit pavement. This included a leg injury in a toddler. Having been around weapons and shooting for over 60 years, you NEVER point in the direction of anything you don’t intend to harm. After 3-4 years, the gunfighters (here ) recieved approval to commence with reenactments, with additional safety measures put in place, including a PAID professional on site giving assurance the guns are 'safe', with that specific responsibility. However, in my personal history, that doesn't negate the most basic rule in gun safety...do not EVER point any firearm in the direction of people, unless you are ok with harming them in a tragic accident.

With over a hundred million shots a year and two deaths now, Brandon Lee and this lady, I’d say it’s pretty safe.

Statistically you're not gong to get hurt. As we all know, Alec hated this woman and probably did this on purpose. Considering he's a narcissist, he thought he could get away with it

Statistically, two people died that didn’t need to so no, it’s not safe. Perhaps AI and CGI or fake guns will prevent two more people from dying unnecessarily.

So basically, the cop let them have a conference to get their stories straight. Anyone else would've been in the backseat of the police car, isolated.

Under any circumstances live ammo should NOT be used for movie sets. With the technology we have to manipulate gun shots, there’s NO need to put anyone’s life in danger while shooting a film/show etc.

Yes this is true but Alec Baldwin had no idea that there was any live ammunition on that set

They didn't intend for live ammo to get mixed with the blanks they were using on set.

@@pattiwassman8703 actually he did, they shot the prop guns (with live ammo) during breaks/ after filming... also were reportedly doing cocaine on the set, including the person in charge of the guns (who was way under qualified, but Alec didn'twant to pay for someone with proper experience).. 😮

I'm no Alec Baldwin fan, but what's he supposed to do? He's given a "fake" gun (or real gun with blanks), and then told to "shoot that person" in this way or that for the scene. This is a huge mistake by an ARMORER, not an actor. The actor would have been anyone who was told to do the scene. It could have been negligence, of course, but if there were no malice involved, for instance, if we found out that actor setup the scene for the "accident" as part of a motive to end the persons life, then this situation is just a huge bummer for the person who lost their life, and their loved ones, but ultimately bad stuff happens all the time - not a crime, at least not the person who pulled a trigger on a movie set.
