Mam I think that the "actual length" for the egg of Aedes mosquito was not 200nm, It was 700nm because we had to use the scale given to measure the actual length. The line representing 200 nm was 12mm by length and the image was 42 mm and by calculation we know that is 700nm so magnification was (42×10times6)÷700
@behlogy
@behlogy Год назад
Hi so the answer for magnification would differ based on your screen! On mine, the image length of the scale bar is 42mm, not 12mm, bcs I have a big screen! The question asked for magnification only, the actual length of the mosquito larvae is irrelevant.

Thankyou so so much. I really can't thankyou enough. No way i was going to understand this topic myself. You are god sent. I am a private candidate for As level and I don't receive any kind of tution. You just saved my Biology. Thanks again❤️ May God bless you.

I’m a private candidate too. If you could share some more resources or video links for bio chem or phys that would be helpful thanks.

@@alishbaahmad2613 etphysics is the best for physics! That channel alone is enough for physics. For chemistry, I recomment allery chemstry's crash course playlist.

You calculated the magnification in nm instead of micro meters so are we suppose to calculate the magnification based on the unit provided for the image size or actual size or is it suppose to be in micro meter only?
@behlogy
@behlogy Год назад
For magnification. As long as top and bottom (aka Image/Actual) units are the same before division, all good.
@RandomMeathead
@RandomMeathead Год назад
@@behlogy So it doesn't matter until all the units of calculations are same thus the answer can be in any unit we calculate in that's convenient

Hi! Great video i learned a lot about bio practicals from your video despite never touching a microscope in my life 😛 I have a question, I am a private candidate so i have no lab experince so do they provide us with a mm ruler to measure the image on the paper ? Cause i have a cm ruler. Sorry i have no knowledge of practicals 😝
@behlogy

Haha all cm rulers have mm markings.... But yes they do provide.

Maam when i write my answer in micrometer is it necessary to always give my answer in 2 decimal place ? In some questions that you attempted in this video you gave yoyr answer in 2 dp but in some parts you gave your answer in 0 dp
@behlogy

Millimeter in whole number! The rest, no rules. Unless specified in question.

First thanks for your help , you make it easy 🙏 Second I wanted to ask about level A , is it a high school subject ? Because my foundation year in college depends on this level , I am quite curious to know more cause im not in western country Last thing is there level b or a higher level after completing this level ?
@behlogy

It's a sixth form / year 12 / foundation / pre-university subject. So same as your level :) But in terms of difficulty, i think my first year in university was easier than A - Levels... 😅😂

1 div (on the stage um) = 10um So 10 div = 10*10um

This was very helpful but I’m quite confused on why she guessed 11 on the EPG please explain 10:55
@behlogy
@behlogy Год назад
It's btwn line 10 and 20, but a little more. In CIE, epg is in whole number so i wouldnt count it as 10.5, i will round it to 11EPG.

Am I understanding something wrong or shouldn't you have converted the 200nm scale bar to micrometers as well? Because you converted the 42 mm to micrometer and divided it by the 200nm to get the magnification. Shouldn't the units all be the same?
