I’m not going to go that far. I’m a fan of her, but being white in a majority black sport definitely makes her more marketable. A great athlete that is a racial minority in their sport is going to sell better. Tiger Woods is a perfect example. If he was white would he still be a great player? Yes! Caitlin Clark is popular because she can shoot really well and the powers that be like her as a symbol of what they think success should look like.
