I personally prefer this cast, especially Willy Wonka. I love Christian Borle but his performance was lacking the quirky charm that everyone is familiar with when it comes to the eccentric Willy Wonka. And the kids actually look like kids here lol
@@Jherbo2027 There is a bootleg version on RU-vid I believe titled, ‘They Eat Chocolate In London Too’ and I believe that is the only way it can be watched now since the show left the West End.
I hope I don't sound picky but I have noticed they changed the shows designs as time goes. I think it was fine just the way it started. Esspecially the amazing puppetry from the Oompa Loompas and squirrels. 👨🍳👨🔬🐿
+Plume His name is:Jonathan Slinger he is a good Stage, film + TV actor been in loads of stuff-Thought you might of recognized him- I mean actors that are just in Musicals get a'lot of PR on TV adverts, goin on TV talk shows, Posters on buses and billboards, Newspapers/Mags etc
Hello Harriet, yes that's true. This was the trailer for the musical, which is different than the original movie. It was a very popular musical, sadly it has now been closed in the West End for quite a while. It was always meant to be an adaptation, never a replacement or copy of the original. Hope that helps. All the best.
Their both good but the London one gives more realism to the actual movie and Willy has a look similar to the book and the Broadway has a realism to what Roald Dahl was going for (adults not kids) the chocolate room in the London looks better and it's bigger than the Broadway it's just in a box but both are funny
I love broadway but OMG LONDON IS WO GOOD WHY CANT WE GET LIKE A DIRRECT MOVE OF LONGDON ON BROADWAY I MEAN BROADWAY IS CLOSING SO NOW BRING LONDON WITH NO CHANGES TO BROADWAY
My favorite actor for Willy Wonka is Douglas Hodge. He is THE Willy Wonka. In fact, let me rephrase what I said at the beginning. Douglas Hodge is the ONLY actor for Willy Wonka that I love. He is the only Willy Wonka in my book.
