My personal favorite part is when Wonka just places the tickets on just a random 5 on the conveyor belt. Even he doens't know where they're going and it leaves everything up to chance. Making it all the more satisfying that he just so happened to get a 1/5 chance of getting the perfect successor.
I like the touch that he does it personally. Every other part is done by machines, but the tickets are placed by Wonka himself. It gives it a more personal feel, and makes the tickets seem even more important than they already are.
I remember cruising around the neighbourhood at midnight with the windows down and this at full blast on the stereo. Lord only knows what people would think if they were awake at the time

Original: Ok, let’s make the soundtrack lighthearted and happy. We want the viewers to feel child like joy Elfman: Let’s make this sound like the beginning of a heist movie
Mainly because there is a difference between pleasure and joy. Joy is something that lasts, something you do for other people. Example is building a house for someone lasts more than... well buying a car or a house for yourself. Its nice to have money but joy itself is when you do something for others.
I was 10 years old when I saw this film in theaters, and I remember being in awe over Danny Elfman’s soundtrack! I knew it was going to be epic right from here. Tim Burton is phenomenal 🍫🍫🍫
Just the intro sequence set entirely in the mysterious dark void and backed by that crazy score is enough to tell you that this is definitely not the same Chocolate Factory movie from before. This is a whole 'nother beast entirely, hope you're ready!
+TerminatorGirl i know right i just be like my mom walks in and says why are u drooling im just like what i dont drool.(gasp) maybe i do sorry mom hahaha😂😂😂
We both may love both movies, but Dahl hated the original. xD I love that this movie is true to the book, unlike the magical fairy tale, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". The Oompa Loompa's are also as the book described them, and so is Charlie, and Willy.
+BritishRailways60163 Am I the only one who thinks the original is actually darker, are we forgetting the tunnel boat scene and the way that charlie and grandpa joe almost died on a fan.
Not with the added backstory. He stood outside theatres when The Witches came out and told people not to see it for less than that. Think about it - the backstory interfered with the ending as well as affected moments throughout the film, while The Witches was mostly faithful until the very end (which was awful, but still).
@@strawberrysoulforever8336 Actually, Jim Henson begged him to stop, profusely apologizing for not keeping him in the loop, and heavily praising the book. Dahl acquiesced.
GoonaTV No, It's a type of sweets because of the sugar that is in the Chocolate that makes it a sweet, The thing is that cocoa Is actually pretty nasty to eat without sugar in the mix.
Anybody also thought how mesmerizing and perfectly fitting the intro and the intro song are together??? Depicts everything exactly what is seen as well as heard, imo🤩
For some reason I've always liked to think that the ticket Wonka touches (the fifth one he places) is the one Charlie found, like if he was blessing it to get to him
Its really not. The old author hated the original film version so much he refused to give up the rights to the glass elevator and he is no longer with us so.
Yeah a 14 year old Charlie with a slightly old willy just going to the elevator and willy breaks his nose on the elevator he could just look up first to look for the boosters on top
Childhood memories flowing back! Love the remake and original both! We have Roald Dahl, Gene Wilder, Johnny Depp, Mel Stuart and Tim Burton to thank for making two great films, no matter how much people hate on the remake.
1971 Willy Wonka intro: Charming, showing ways candy is being made while nice music is playing. 2005 movie intro: SOMETHING IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN AND YOU GONNA HAVE TO BE READY FOR IT!!! Honestly, I find both good and the 2005 is admittedly catches my attention right away with its sinister music.
Bruh the fact he relies on this whole factory to just do this all by its self like what if one thing breaks that’s like his whole chocolate making process put on hold
0:50 when we watched this movie in 6th grade my friend was doing a fortnite dance with this music 😂😂😂 it was soo funny that he made the whole class and the teacher laugh . 😆
