I didn’t think it was her fault, her parents had pampered and spoiled her the moment she was born, hence Rupert and Henrietta Salt were extremely wealthy
nonthakon scarborough how damn fucking spoiled is she Edit:a year ago I had terrible grammar I apologize for it here is the corrected sentence Damn she is a spoiled shit
nonthakon scarborough holy shit that kid won a extremely rare fucking ticket and thats what she says after she gets it. What a little bitch I would've been thanking my parents.
0:57 the mom after Veruca's demands though. O-O "oh no I'm not drunk enough for this" The mom doesn't say a word within this entire scene but her expressions are very good. 1:33 the mom here too looks like she's waiting for her daughter to actually say "thank you"
@@a.g.demada5263 Yes, but if you're gonna have lines, you should be able to combine that with your body language too. Otherwise, it's gonna look like you don't care about what you're saying, or that your body language and facial expressions contradict what's being said
I died of laughter at the end her dad literally spend so much work to get the ticket and when he finally gets a ticket she’s like daddy.... I want another pony🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time I see that part. I swear she looks like she’s going to burst out laughing but does a fantastic job of holding it in while saying Daddy I want another pony.
If that rich kid use this same method to get this golden ticket, I am sure that rich kid won't think twice of rewarding the worker who found it, maybe giving her a raise, a promotion, or a one-month leave (using a statement letter on the behalf of her dad and signed by her dad of course)
@@damiensisco6960It is actually very hard for rich parents not to spoil their kids. Especially the new money kind, because the rich parents themselves probably had a hard life growing up, so they feel like they should give in to all of their kids’ wishes, as to compensate for what they had to go through before gaining their wealth. And Veruca’s family wealth is new because it was her father who founded the nuts company. So she is a first-gen rich kid. Parents prolly thought that giving everything that she wants isn’t wrong
At least in this version she "just" wanted the golden ticket. In the original from the 70s she also demanded that her father found one before anyone else in the world did!
Also, the father in the original was more of a victim, since he wasn't necessarily rich. Here, Mr. Salt was probably just as spoiled as his daughter when he was a child.
I liked this version of Veruca better than the original version because she's not anywhere near as annoying as the original one was. And even though she wants certain things, she doesn't want them immediately like the original one does. And right after I saw this movie in theaters, I kind of had a crush on the girl who played her. I was 9 and a half.
It’s clear to see that the workers were agitated about the “shelling” of chocolate bars and I can tell that worker was saying “that rotten brat doesn’t deserve this we’ve been working for days so I deserve it”
lyndsay Durrett I actually think she looks hopefully that maybe FINALLY her brat of a daughter would say "thank you."But you know, she just asked for more stuff xD
I wonder what's going to happen to the worker that found it(She seems like she is trying to hid it) By the way: 1971 Veruca: Screaming brat 2005 Veruca: Creepy devil
They did not want to anger Mr. Salt and get fired because all Mr. Salt cares about is his daughter. He even risked his own business for her and she STILL demands more from him!
she is a greedy brat and by the way its a horrible way of saying thank you who in their right mind would say " daddy i want a new pony" as a thank you # ungrateful
In the book, when they found a ticket; the one who found it would scream that “I have got it! A golden ticket!” And would immediately respond with “Give it to me, quick!” And also she does not say that “Daddy, I want another pony!” It is mention in the book that, “she is all smiles, and now we have a happy home once again.” I guess this is an extra climax by directors and producer was added in the movie to entertain the watchers. So, that they would not get bored while watching the movie. It is weird and a bit funny in my opinion.
The personalities are more extreme in the remake. In the original, Veruca was all happy when a worker finally found a golden ticket. In this one, she just smiles for half-a-second.
I probably would have pocketed the ticket too. It is hard for me to give up something so valuable, especially since Mr. Salt was going to give it to someone who does not deserve it.
In the 1971 film, it's Henrietta In the book, I believe it's Angina You could say "like mother, like daughter" with their names being related to forms of pain, since angina is chest pains and a verruca is, like Wonka said, a wart
Whipple Scrumptious FudgeMallow Delight, Nutty Crunch Surprise, Chilly Chocolate Creme, and Triple Dazzle Caramel were the four flavours of Wonka chocolate
83rdox Well ofcourse it a fictionel character so all the whole humanity know about her is what we see in the movie. Either you, me or anyone else know more than that
WolfieMcMuffin and Angina does not wear jeans. They are vulgar as revealed in "The Strange Change of Veruca Salt". Not a real story, but Angina, Rupert, and Veruca do not wear jeans.
Charlie and Chocolate factory scared me when I first watched it.. the only memories I have from the movie since then are when the lady finds the golden ticket, and when Violet chews gum and she blows up into a blueberry.. I never did finish the movie
Vercua : I want a golden ticket Dad: gets every single girl to look for one Also dad : I got u your golden ticket honey And out of all the things in the world she could say about her golden ticket she said "daddy, I want another pony 😂
@@xAlphaBxtch She didn't get that other pony. I thought for sure her father would've gotten her that second pony sometime between this scene and the time they go to the chocolate factory.
