Weird isn't it. Loads of stuff was happening but even the great recession and all the babbling bullshit from the time didn't seem as crazy as times are now. Also, 2008 is as far away now as 1993 was to 2008. :-( I'm going to sit in the cupboard.
Everything went wrong when everyone was given a platform for their opinions, whilst additionally having to monitor everything they said. No wonder people are fraught with anxiety over passing comment now!
The whole point of the entire show seemed to be to anger up middle aged muppets, that whole "why don't the police go after the yobs" is peak drunk in weatherspoons behaviour.
No worries 😀 @@James-md8ph Been looking for it for 15 years on & off everytime I go back and watch this episode and the piece of music which starts at 23:43 which is also Ratatat - 'Flynn' from the same album). Cause I've got all the eps of screenwipe on a HDD I spliced both clips and attempted to upload to youtube with hope that the copyright funtcion would flag the pieces of music giving me the titles....which it did for 'Imperials' but not fot the 2nd piece which was initially disappointing, but I wonderded cause they were similar sounding pieces of music if they were by the same artist and low & behold they are! 🤣 So more than happy to help as I know the frustration of trying to find the name of a tune. 😁
@@Oddtracknumbers Damn, that's clever lateral thinking: using copyright flagging for identification ⭐. There once was an online site with an impressively huge database of the references of commercial tunes in TV programmes but it disappeared 🙁. However, I noticed someone had created a comprehensive Spotify list of music used in the wipe series, Ratatat tracks are there however Imperials wasn't, I'm guessing you'd already seen it. Nevertheless, I have another challenge. There was 1 other tune I could not identify in the same series; it's from 2016 wipe v=Kwmwd_iSk8c&t=939s I'd be interested to read whether it sounds familiar 🙂
