Other countries have strict immigration laws. Why is it so controversial for us to have strict immigration laws? Nobody here on this Earth, who is a citizen of a foreign country cannot go freely to whatever country they please without going through some type of immigration law... It's such an asinine way of thinking that the U.S. should be an open border free to everyone's country.
People crying about kids in cages are either advocating that those kids be put in cages with their parents, or they don't understand that child. Sex traffickers can pose as parents. You need to prove that we are separating families. By proving that they are a family in the first place.

Why? Because they're the ones that will in a few years be running for public positions, pushing laws, passing judgements, etc, etc. Makes no sense to try and convince or educate those of us with established careers, life experiences, and stuck in our ways. I'd rather not have a bunch of radical people pushing their agendas in my elder years, just trying to retire and survive.

Everyone who has a problem with how illegal immigrants are handled should relocate to Southern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, or California. As close to the border as possible. Then they can be the welcome wagon and help all these poor people by offering food and shelter and whatever other assistance they require/demand. My guess is you will be offering to help build that wall within 3 months tops. If I am homeless and while you are at work I break into your house in order to get out of the hot sun. While I am there I eat, shower, and pack a bag with items I could really use. I am just about to leave when you come home. Do I get a hug or do you call police?
Here is my thoughts on the separation of children from their parents at the border. So a mother and a father each have warrants for arrest on them, while driving with their children they are arrested for said warrants. Where do the children go? Do we keep them together and the mother and children are incarcerated in the men's jail? NO! The father and the mother go to separate jails and the children are given to CPS until they can be reunited. The same thing happens at the border.
