I dont think she’s insane… I think her truth is being rocked and she’s looking for answers (probably because of her son)…. Or I guess you could just be blunt and just say she’s insane (and you’d still be right).
She was centrist in the 80s and 90s. We all wanted freedom for adults, that got hijacked by extreme ideas and busy people got pulled down the river in currents they had no understanding of due to looking at the trees instead of the forest.
She did a good job. He made up his own mind, all those years of her trying to explain her viewpoint, he came to his own conclusion, she had no point to make.
And "beliefs" is definitely the correct term. She believes, and those beliefs are based, as she said here, on feelings. Rational thought has never entered into the picture.
I certainly did as well. When you are around hard core leftists enough and pay some attention, you can't help but recognize inconsistencies, double standards and hypocrisy.
That's how I am. Born and raised in a wicked-liberal area, my mother is the definition of "Mind so open it fell out." She recently found out how conservative I am and said she felt like she would vomit.
I'm old enough to have been thinking of Edith, as well. Particularly those times when Archie would be listening to Edith go on and on, and he'd mime loading a gun and shooting himself.
Yep. I think that is the problem with kids in school who become transgender--they are confused, encouraged to explore this from other transgenders, and greatly desire ATTENTION, even if it is negative.
Not a big difference to people, who believe that we were created according to a god's image and that we have a soul. It is just another religion or a cult.
@@neilnewinger3059 Some cult. Monotheism is the Western bedrock that has given you everything you have - health, long life, wealth, freedoms, mod democracy [the A/Greek democracy founders were also theists]....labour saving devices; Mod science came out of the church, with all its faults], [monasticism=scholasticism=clericalism, writers of laws], Church provided science sponsorship...built/founded the first Western schools, unis, hospitals, libraries, soc care ..... not from atheism - which did zero
Another great example of cognitive dissonance. I actually feel sorry for her because her brain is clearly melting as she tries to make sense of this conversation.
@@mightyporkinplowastranger8705 Who knows for sure, but it seemed she was constantly trying to pivot because nothing was making sense. Her worldview was being challenged to such an extent she could no longer think straight. I also suspect she did sometimes fully realise that she couldn't agree with Charlie at all as this would betray her worldview (cognitive dissonance).
@@martindenham2207, respected British anthropology professor, Dr. Edward Dutton, has demonstrated that “LEFTISM” is due to genetic mutations caused by poor breeding strategies. 🤡 To put it simply, in recent decades, those persons who exhibit leftist traits such as egalitarianism, feminism, socialism, multiculturalism, homosexuality, perverse morality, and laziness, have been reproducing at rates far exceeding the previous norm, leading to an explosion of insane, narcissistic SOCIOPATHS in (mostly) Western societies.
I didn't see that. I lean right and agree with a lot kirk says on trans subject. But he didn't crush this. First, this actually maybe closes I've seen to an actual liberal in his vids. Frequently, those on right blanket label those on left as liberals. That be wrong and even Ben S is careful to label those on left that aren't liberals as just the left. An actual liberal, the strongest characteristic is open minded. She is pretty open minded. Accepts having a conservative son. She also wasn't on board with trans in sports. She also, for once, answering what a woman is. Her answer was what is a woman beyond biological. She was actually challenging his more rigid principles on subject.

@@AlinaTowers Actually her "own thoughts" ARE just parroted talking points. There's nothing in there that is remotely original. Just a damn lot of cool aid.
Erm, Charlie literally didn't answer her original question which was "how do you accept people who don't share your beliefs", to which answered "what is a woman" 😂
@@antonydandreathat's the thing. Even a 60 year old+ woman can't answer a basic questio as what is a woman on a logical, biological term that we learn long ago at school. So how do you accept their belief? IF THEY THEMSELVES DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEIR BELIEF IS AND WHAT IT MEANS?
That child of hers probably thought, my mom rambles on forever but never actually says much. No wonder he turned elsewhere to get answers, and kudos to him for doing it. She does love to talk forever, while overemphasizing every single word. That was hard to listen to.
She is a perfect example of a person who has gone through life comfortable in her beliefs but never actually challenging her ideas so that she can make a cogent argument.
True, people this age are actually quite naive. People over 60 usually have no idea how radical the left has become in recent years. I can't get through to my parents, so I stopped trying to explain my beliefs. They get angry when I talk about politics. Maybe It's for the better. They just watch the mainstream media and just believe about anything they see. It's frustrating, but I found a way to deal with it.
@@RickPatNB It's amazing how people don't pay attention. Many people who voted for Biden because they expected him to be a moderate (which is what the media always says about Democrats). But if you listened to him in 2019-2020, Biden said he would be the most progressive president since FDR. Biden said that trans rights were the "civil rights of our generation." Biden said he would end fossil fuels. Biden encouraged illegals to rush to the border. Biden has done exactly what he said he would do and yet half of the living people who voted for him are shocked that this country is a dumpster fire. Anybody who was paying attention knew it would be.
I am so glad that as my husband and I raised our sons, we were consistent in sharing our values and morals with them. This lady is all over the place. She doesn’t even have a clear vision of what she believes.
She taught her son to "think for himself" and he had grown up as a conservative. That says is all. Perhaps, if mom would took her own advice she would be a conservative as well.
Kirk's comments about marriage are so well spoken. Call it something else. It's not the same. It's nice to actually hear that spoken out loud without fear of violence.
She was just trying to get attention. The same applies to transgenders in high school---likely most just want ATTENTION. Why do we tolerate this nonsense?
The world could be starving in the next decades and these clowns will still be ranting about the LGBT BLAH BLAH BLAH.. They don't even try and focus on the most important things we face in our country.
You hit the nail on the head. We have a trillion problems in the world and the national attention is focused on this non-sense. You know why? Politicians can go spend money to support their friends without getting much attention because the attention is on transgenderism. The politicians are working us like idiots.
This poor kid. Can you imagine trying to have a coherent conversation with that every day? Sheesh. Twelve hours later...."Mom. could you please come to a point..."
That’s what I have learned when talking to liberals. Just let them continue talking. Eventually, they make fools of themselves without me having to engage.
Her and the media are about the same--transgenderims is non-sense, and used by politiicans to keep our focus on all the money they are wasting and off their misbehaving deeds. They love non-sense discussion on basic topics. We are idiots to tolerate this non-sense!
Wow! This woman has been rambling for over 2 minutes now and still hasn't asked a question. Reminds me of Michael Scott when David Wallace asked him what he was doing right at the Scranton branch. "Don't ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever."
If it were possible to take all of those words which came out of her mouth, and boil it down to its essence, her worldview would be, "We should be nice".
She couldn't say more than a couple of words before she had to stop and think of the next two. Kind of gives off the idea she is a dullard. Sharp as a rock.
Well what does anyone even mean when they say "I don't ascribe to the beliefs of conservatism." When you start breaking it down just about anyone you ask believes at least SOME conservative things. Do you think we should have a limited government, do you think we should have a strong military, do you think we should maintain as many individual freedoms as possible, etc etc... These are generally conservative, or "classically liberal" viewpoints. Which, maybe that's what they mean, but.. Even still.
@@OpenMawProductions so do conservatives have values that would be termed liberal? Conservatives are pro-free speech now and used to be pro-censorship.
I think today's liberal is tomorrow's conservative and vice versa, for a number of reasons, but mainly because the two ends keep pushing farther and farther apart. So you'll have classical conservatives or classical liberals who find themselves branded as the opposite by the extremes of their groups.
A lot of “I” “My” “Me” … classic narcissist. She loves the story about her son. She raised him to be SO free willed that he’s able to vote for who he likes… what a Champion. Well done 🏆
Age can be based on belief too. There are people who keep themselves fit and feel like there 22 when they are 32. Some people are 28 and feel like they are 40. Some people just look really young g and have been treated as such their whole life…why can’t the just identify with the age everyone thinks they are and vise versa for people who look older
@@LazyTelevison he specifically made a comment in the video about age…and why can’t he just be any age he feels like it he made an argument about being older and dating a 12 year old because he feels 12. This doesn’t have anything to do with your comment I must have accidentally replied instead of making a new comment. But it does have something to do with the video
I appreciate that this mom gave her son the opportunity to experience diversity of thought. As a former liberal from cali. I was never given diversity of thought.
I can see my life going past listening to this lady, and I've only got 40 years left to live. But hats off to Charlie ! He's nailed it when he says that marriage is a "union of opposites", because that's its alchemical, or theological, meaning (as I understand it) which sets it apart from homosexual relationships.
There was a time if we extract our beliefs from a christian teaching that there was not one with morality God would have saved the city if you could find one. Of fire and brimstone fell down.
This understanding of the Natural Order of the Universe was exhibited in the writings of Lao Tzu, who understood the principles and concepts of Yin ⚏ and Yang ⚎ know as Taoism, around 2500yrs ago.
My mom is like her. She just wants to make everyone happy and it makes modern politics impossible for her to navigate without being ridiculously supportive of bad ideas.
