I always felt bad for poor Wilbur when he got scared during his first night out in the yard. I'm surprised Fern wasn't there to comfort him when he raced into the house. Poor little fellow! However, from her parents' perspective, pigs were meant to sleep outside in the yard with other farm animals, and in their own defense, Wilbur did wake them up in the middle of the night with his banging on the door to be let in, and he gave their son quite a fright when he hid under the bed with him, so it's clearly understandable why they were annoyed with him and why they wanted him out of the house. Sometimes you just have to go by somebody's rules.
You can sure say THAT again! Especially the way she pulls the curtains shut in Fern’s face; almost like she slammed the door in Fern’s face! Something tells me Mrs. Fussy(and her last name-even if by marriage-certainly fits her PERFECTLY!) isn’t too crazy about her son associating with the Arable girl(Fern of course.)
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 Actually, she slammed the window shut in Fern's face after Wilbur jumped out, which is pretty much the same thing, even worse! Either way, she was a meanie!
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 She sure does live up to her name! Can't she even tell that her son is a regular Jack Benny; he wasn't good at playing the violin either! You saw how Fern made a face the minute she started hearing Henry play.
I wish they could have accepted that Wilbur was scared of thunder and did not like the idea of sleeping outside until he got confident enough I would have had that pig in one more night just for him to get used to it first or maybe camp outside with him for the first time until he gets used to life.
Nothing to be afraid of, Avery Arable; it’s none other than your little sister’s pet pig. Of course, he should talk, the way HIS taste in animals-FROGS AND SNAKES-no doubt must scare everyone SHITLESS!!!
Fern: ok honey, make a wish. John: alex do you have to sit at the table and not on your high chair? Alex: today's my birthday dad, i'm three years now. John: i know, and now it's time for you to act like a big kid. tonight you have to sleep in your own bed in your room. Alex: But i'm afraid of the dark dad. John: I don't care if you're afraid of the dark. now go to your room and sleep in your bed like a good kid. Alex: Ok.
